Hey Cat , not sure what you mean , just checked and I don't have any holes where GIR and SCB are both selected yes, all the GIR holes have ths SCB at no and vice versa for the ones that were SCB

Cat Just read your post again , I get what your saying, you don't have to fill out all the boxes every hole , only when they apply , right ?

Thats right mate, GIR needs to be entered for every hole, but scramble and sand save only when they apply. So only when GIR is no should it possibly be entered, and even then if you didnt have chance to get up and down then would still be left blank. If chipped on and 1 putted for par would be yes, if didnt make par would be no, if didnt get on to even have a chance for par then left blank. Thats how I understand it anyway

John if you hit Greens in Regulation no need to fill in Scramble, just leave it blank.. ... If you only had 1 sandshot and saved it then you Sand Saves are correct...

Have to check the video to see how many opportunities I had from the sand. I've cleaned up the scramble as well. It is my understanding that if you miss the GIR then the scramble needs a yes or no , let's say on a par 4 you're off the green in 4 or more , that still qualifies as a NO for scramble correct ? It wouldn't matter whether you were 20yds away after 3 shots or 200, you still had the opportunity to scramble, you may have just messed it up a couple times, doesn't matter what your range is, right? Also does a sand save count as a scramble as well ? By putting in SS you are merely identifying a specific type of scramble are you not ? Please be patient with us newbies, was never concerned about these kind of stats before, just worried about not losing a dozen balls..lol

I dont like the scramble stat myself as like you say its a bit subjective, but I would say if you follow below you wont be far off. i will call shots as follows

For Par 4 not on the green
                      1st Shot - Tee Shot,
                      2nd Shot - GIR Shot,
                      3rd Shot - GIR+1 Shot
                      4th Shot - GIR +2 Shot

For Par 5 not on the green

                      1st Shot - Tee Shot,
                      2nd Shot - GIR-1 Shot
                      3rd Shot - GIR Shot,
                      4th Shot - GIR+1 Shot
                      5th Shot - GIR +2 Shot

                      For a Scramble

You have to miss GIR and land your GIR Shot off the green. Your GIR+1 shot from anywhere has to go onto the green - that is a scramble chance. If GIR +1 shot is not on the green then leave it blank

If your GIR+1 shot lands on the green, then make your putt its a scamble yes, if you miss its a scramble no.

                      For a Sand Save

You have to miss GIR and land your GIR Shot in a bunker. Your GIR+1 shot from the bunker has to go onto the green - that is a Sand Save chance. If GIR +1 shot is not on the green then leave it blank

If your GIR+1 shot lands on the green, then make your putt its a Sand Save yes, if you miss its a Sand Save no.

The only time it would be different would be if you did miss the green with your GIR+1 shot, but then holed your GIR+2 shot, thus saving par. however this would be a rarity but would technically be a Sand Save or Scramble depending on where the GIR+2 shot was played from. I would say this wont happen many times if you're like me however lol, have done it once though.

Im not sure on Par 5s if you landed your GIR-1 shot in the bunker but then made par whether that would be a sand save. personally I dont think it is, as wasnt the bunker shot that made the save, as you still hit GIR, and should have any scramble or sand save data if you hit GIR.

                      Hope this is correct

By definition if you miss your GIR and are set to take your next shot (GIR +1) you are now looking at a scramble opportunity, if you don't land your GIR+1 shot on the green you have failed to scramble , correct ? The definition is the percentage that you shoot par or better when you miss the GIR, regardless of whether your GIR+1 is a good shot and lands on the green is it not ?

                          Here's a scenarioe for everyone....

                          Hit the green in regulation
                          Putt off the green
Next shot from off the green goes in for par.

                          Scramble?

good question on the Sand Save??? I would say no at this point... you would not put it on scramble as well because its being accounted for in the Sand Save Stat....

John Check hole 5 that should be No on scramble, you bogied hole..

No , because you initially hit the GIR, whatever happens after that happens

This is a good question that we should explore because if you hit greens in regulation technically you should start counting putting strokes on Green. Same thing as if you Chip on Green it counts as a putting stroke..
