Round 3 completed, in the clubhouse at +20 for the Tournament.
The usual unplayable madness on a couple of holes, but of you check the stats youll see it took some Micklesonesque short game to keep the socre where it was.
Only hit 1 GIR the whole round, but chipping and pitching resulted in only taking 20 putts, with 10 scrambled pars
As I said on video didnt like that course one bit, too many unplayables and wind effects seemed to be all over the place. Think thats secures me a top 5 though so barring a monumental performance from someone.
Best of luck all, look forward to seeing what people can do, as despite the short game, did leave a few out there

Well played John. I've been trying to find the courage to go out there again !! Played a practice round at Gleneagles just to remind myself that I could play par golf.

Round 3 in the books , highlight of the round , chip in from the sand on # 2 for a birdie. Lowlight was the brain cramp on 14, par 3 on in reg, line up and hit my 31ft putt , goes 34 ft or so and I'm miles from the hole , it was then that I realized it was 31 YARDS to the hole ...dufus of the day lol.Comment

Finished Rd 2. Not a fun round at all. The "Moderate Wind" with 12MPH blowing, effects your putt tremendously!!! We already know that though. I thought we all agreed to not play "Moderate Winds" anymore because how unrealistic it is. I mean, I have a breaker going left with wind blowing right. You would think you would aim right because of the break. No, you have to aim based on the wind and not break. Not even fun!!!! I won't play anymore tournaments with Moderate Winds or higher.
Also the unplayable all over the course is ridiculous. Not a fun tournament at all!

It wasnt so bad on Round 3 as the wind effects werent so pronounced, although they were as random. Seemed to take 10 yards off sometimes, no yards at others. Cross winds also sometimes affected, sometimes didnt. All very difficult to get to grips with.
I think they just went a bit far with the unplayable lies thing, I had one where the ball was literally just on the edge of the "waste ground" and marsh and said unplayable. Im guessing because couldnt take a stance. I think thats what they mean by unplayable.
Superb round catman, a 64 on back tees on the hardest course in the world... thats pretty damn awesomeComment
