  • V Cam & H Cam setup

In the midst of setting up our Protee package & had a question that someone here may be able to assist us with.

We purchased both launch cameras. The V cam is set the the left side about 7 feet as required. The H cam is positioned in between the lights above as required with the camera facing to the left as well. I guess the question we have is which direction should the H cam be positioned? Left, right, forward or backward? Or does it matter?

We did have a remote with Protee & we ended up with the H cam facing right & all seem well but afterwards we found out that all the horizontal ball tracking was backwards. Left shots went right & right shots went left. So we set it back to point left & flipped something around on interface. Not sure if this is the right move or not.

Can anyone share their camera setup info so as to compare?

    Thanks in advance!

No sure if I am understanding you ....but here goes

The H cam is mounted above you on the ceiling, 2 or 3 feet in front of the golfer. When you turn the camera on, you want to see the ball in the little square box and make sure the box is on the left side of the view and the hitting screen is on the right side so that the shot is moving left to right on your view screen.

Not sure that is answering your question, but let me know if you need additional information

Yes, the H cam is mounted on the ceiling 2 or 3 feet in front of the golfer. The view from the PC monitor is as you describe. The ball is in the little square box & box is on left with hitting direction going right. So I'm assuming that it's correctly displayed on PC. However....

What I really want to try to find out is this:

Is there a right or wrong way to position the physical direction of the above mounted H cam lens?

The reason I'm asking is at one point we were directed by Protee through remote access to turn the physically mounted H cam to the right & after they said the H cam was ready to go we went to E6 driving range & found out the left to right ball flight was backwards even though it looked correct (as stated above) on the PC monitor. So there must be a right & wrong way that the H cam is mounted.

Is there a specific way that the H cam is to be positioned when mounted? We turned the mounted H cam 180 degrees from where Protee instructed & it looks as though the ball flight is now matching up correctly although in E6 the after shot data club path seems to be backwards.

I guess in simple terms I'm asking if there is an actual front or back etc to the physically mounted H cam?

I don't think so, I know you can "flip" the vertical and horizontal camera for left/right setups. I think it is at the bottom of the 2nd page of settings....You should see an area for the VCam and Hcam and to "Flip" or not.....

Have a look at this instruction so you can see what the image is supposed to look like:

Checked the link & not 100% sure of all the settings but the images look about the same. Protee helped us out originally but after remote was over we noticed that balls intentionally hit right went left & vice versa. So basically backwards....What could be the cause of that happening?
