  • New Protee TGC

Hello, I recently had a look at the Protee site and their new offer for $ 2.950,00. They give you the board with one vertical launch camera and TGC software. I also am following the discussion about Skytrak on this forum. By the way, I am a bit confused which simulator purchase, many say that soon will be available others new affordable products. Do you suggest me wait or go ahead with one of those the market now offers for my finances (Skytrak or Protee)? Does anyone has tryed the "new" Protee with TGC? Any opinions about it? What is the difference beetween this one and the more expensive "full" Protee simulator (about $ 5.000,00)? How precise/affordable these items are?
    Thanks all

I agree with Hoosier. There is pros and cons of all systems. Shadow based technology is still very, very good. It has it's limits but when setup well is great. Thanks to the forum ProTee testers/users and the awesome support from ProTee (they actually listen and provide excellent customer service), the ProTee system with TGC is awesome. It's only getting better. Now that's not to say that Skytrak is not a great unit as well. I have tested both side by side over the last year and can tell you in my setup the results are equal. One gives club data and the other pure ball data but the end result is bang on.

Would it be Pro-tee and Skytrak that would combine for club and ball data? I am waiting as patiently as possible for sim software for Skytrak, but if this combo is coming I could get started with Pro-Tee.
Also, I see that when you buy something like E6, you have to stipulate which hardware you are buying for. How would this work if you are using 2 different brands?

Is it correct that the Pro Tee base pack with TGC (not base pack 2) is packaged only with TGC? If so, how does one access a driving range since TGC doesn't have one?

TGC has many ranges. They just dont work like a normal range. Craig made one that you hit into the water. So it re tees the ball every time. you get 11 shots then it moves to a new hole. and you get 11 more. I found it to be useful. It's also fun to try and hit the boats and stuff he has floating around. But I can't comment on what is all sold in what package. I know Dennis is on Holiday at the moment or he would most likely answer himself.

We will add an auto rewind soon so you can hit unlimited shots. In the mean time if you really need a range, you can use the ProTee Golf 2.0 ranges and practice modes.

I was confused about the contents of the base pack & base pack 2 - I saw a YT video that shows the screen as included in the base pack 2 ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EjYouXqLZw0 ), but cannot see this listed on the Swing sense website ( https://www.swingsense.com/en/store/...pack-2-details ).

I couldn't wait any longer so I have ordered 3 screens from Protee - if I end up getting three Protee systems, hopefully i can still get them at the Base Pack 2 price!

Would love to know the answer to my question above - will Protee and ST integrate? Maybe Bubba22 could let us know?

The difference between the Base Pack and Base Pack 2 are the Horizontal Camera and Putting Sensors. These 2 items are included in the Base Pack 2.
Both packs include the stock size screen. On the SwingSense site click on the Specifications drop down for details.

How much additional money is the horizontal angle cam, and where is it mounted in the setup? How much more accuracy will there be with the addition of the horizontal angle cam?

Does that come with the Base Pack TGC or only Base Pack 2?

Normally it only comes with the ProTee Base Pack (1 and 2). Not with the TGC 2015 pack. The TGC 2015 pack only includes TGC.

Put your forum user name in the comments when you order a TGC 2015 pack online and we will also send you a ProTee Golf 2.0 license
