Protee Camera Recommendations

I am looking to replace the overhead camera for the Protee system I've been using. It seems to have recently stopped working, but I have always had occasional issues with shots registering correctly. I'm hoping to get a better camera than the one that came with the original package.

While I wouldn't say money is no object, it isn't the primary concern. Any recommendations on the optimal camera/best value for use with the protee sensors?

It is advised only the cameras supplied are used. It depends on what age the system is. If you have an older system using point grey cameras there are newer cameras available for the system. shots not registering correctly may not be down to the overhead camera and could be something else.

Protee UK is clearly the go to source. Still, when I first used the Protee setup I used a Logitech 922C for the horizontal camera with the older version Point Gray vertical camera. I had no reads and misreads with that setup, so I eventually went with a compatible horizontal Point Gray camera from Protee. I still get some no reads and misreads. I can't say I see a huge difference between the setups as far a readings. Protee will say there may be a compatibility issue with different camera, but not sure I observed that.

It should be noted that camera types should not be mixed. Point grey cameras are pre 2017 and should not be mixed with another type nor should the DMK cameras after 2017
