Is it true that Protee allows more custom settings in TGC than Skytrak? I.E. Selecting between Teebox location, Green Speeds and weather? Or is there no difference between the systems? Also, since the Protee doesn't measure ball spin, is it solely determining ball flight based on your club path, speed and club face at impact? Lastly has anyone else had an issue with chipping accuracy with their Skytrak? And at a risk of sounding completely foolish, I understand Protee has a camera add on but that camera is for Vertical launch only not spin correct. The Horizontal Camera will increase shaping I assume.

There is a bunch of info on the chipping issues with skytrak and different fixes that are out there for it (although neither are perfect yet) on the the thread I attached below. They have made some changes to it that are pretty solid and SkyTrak_Seth is apparently working on a type of 'super putting mode' that will be even more accurate. Can't wait to get my hands on that one

ProTee calculates spin. Without accurate spin your yardages will be completely off. ProTee spin calculations are very accurate. The system tracks club path, club face, club speed, ball path, ball speed, ball angle, and much more. This give the ProTee plenty parameters to calculate spin pretty good. Without club data you won't be able to calculate spin.

ProTee uses 2 high speed sensor systems and 2 cameras. The main reason why we stick to this config and not changing to a full camera system is that we believe club tracking is an essential part of your game. An other reason is that left and right-handed players can play the same system without having to move hardware around. And another huge advantage is that we track putting accurately which will allow you to finish your simulated game completely.

I like all the information you have provided, the fact that everyone raves about the ProTee customer service is a huge plus. I have 20 plus days left of my trial with the Skytrak, so far it has been pleasant other than the time I used to build a protective plexiglass screen for my wife and kids to use the system. I have been in contact with Par2Pro and the Golf Site. Price is very similar actually I think Protee is cheaper depending on the package being I'd have to still purchase a gaming pc and the golf club with the Skytrak. I'm just trying to see determine what I'll be missing out on by getting the Protee over the Skytrak and vice versa. Both user communities sound very happy with what they have, however; the list you provided was impressive. I'll mull this over on vacation next week and make my 3 or 4th final decision. It really seems you can not go wrong with either unit. And they are kinda apple and oranges so difficult to compare. However for the record the fact that you are activiely on the forums is a huge plus in my eyes and I will take that into consideration when making my 4th final decision.

If you are happy with your SkyTrak then you should keep it. Its all about being able to play indoors and having fun. Checkout all the tour recordings from happy SkyTrak owners enjoying a round a golf in the comfort of their own home. Buy TGC and join the tour!

I could not agree more with buy TGC and join he tour. While joining the tour cost me 3000 (software plus hardware) I still consider it a great deal. Just playing knowing you are shooting for a score and the score will be posted. Now, it is not the same as the feeling you get in playing in your club's championship, but coming down 16-18 knowing if you do well you might get first (no me really, have you seen my scores) but perhaps get into the top 5 or at least no last. The tour is great

Wait... So Skytrak can compete against Protee users... I'm coming from the console world of PS4 and Xbox1 I thought it was an either or situation.
