Got in round 1 this morning before work and pleased with the round. I boarded the bogie train right off the bat and had a hard time getting it slowed down. Once I did I played some pretty decent golf. I didn't have a lot of looks at birdies; it was just getting up and down.

I just missed a 36-foot putt for eagle on the 18th. Hit one of my best drives of the round and then hit an easy mini-driver because I thought it would roll out forever. Hit it just like I wanted and it bounced short of the green and only rolled probably a foot on the green. Normally that thing would have rolled across the green. I guess I landed it short enough that the fairway killed it.

Anxious to see what round 2 brings While this was a decent round it could have been FAR worse. I was literally a foot or less from cliff diving off one of the par 4s. I honestly don't know how that ball stayed up top.

Last time we played PB it was the 6200 yard ProTee version. It will play totally different at 7 k. How is your set up going Chris?

Ya forsure, your green notes may be less useful if you're hitting a 5 iron in! haha. My setup is slowly getting better. I bought a cross-line laser level to help make sure I'm on line with my putting. I also just learned that SkyTrak has an alignment mode. haha. The will help. I am still going to the indoor range and setting up every time i want to play that is making it tougher to play as often as you guys and to be consistent with alignment but I am just glad to be playing. Tonight I am going to do my ST firmware updates and then play a practice round at pebble beach. Then porobably play my tournament rounds Friday evening. When are you playing round 1?

Well, I played hockey today, tomorrow, Friday, I don't play well if I am sore from hockey so I either have to play Sunday or accept the fact that I will be 3-6 strokes higher. I have been scoring well on my practice rounds. I see some greens that are begging for my new shot shaping skills..... If I mess up, I may be on a beach far far away. I am going to try to play a practice round right now..... see how that goes. I love this course, it is very accurate to the real thing as far as I can tell from TV.

I hated this course last year (length issues for me).. I think it might be a little more doable this year. Fingers crossed.

haha, yeah, I ended up on the beach a couple times... should have taken an unplayable and backed her up right away, but had to be stubborn and try to go straight up... and thus take a 9. Woops.

Well my second score is not showing up, but went 81 in round 2 which means it will be another week of me seeing my name tumble down the leader board with each passing day :-(.

I had an awful round yesterday. 76 practice round followed by 87 tourney round. Ha! What a haaack!

I had something a little frustrating happen though. Blocked it right wayyy down the hill on #5. I knew better, but tried to play it back up anyway. I hit it into the face of that cliff and it stuck there. Terrible spot but figured I could get it back up from there. It wouldn't read a shot from that spot. I reset everything a couple of times. Even jumped into the ST app and hit a shot. Back in and nothing. It wasn't a loft issue either. Wouldn't read a shot from there. I finally decided that the game said it was unplayable from there (makes no sense) and my only option was to take an unplayable. I did and the next shot read fine. Very strange.

+6 on that hole and followed it up with a quad on the next. Why do I play?

just finished my first round on the tour, I had to concede hole 5 , hitting beach 3 times .
but got par on 17 and 18 to get a total 98 . right on my irl HC
had a great time playing the course and will be hard to do better 2nd round.

77..... I was in big trouble on a par 3.... I had a triple and double...... without enough birdies...... Oh well, I will try for a 68 on the next round.

Well over a year later I finally complete a tour event!

Had a big issue at first with no reads off the first tee box. On my 4th attempt it read and sliced OB. Stopped and updated the protee interface to 3.10d and it works great after that.

Other then that I need some recommended settings for putt sensitivity. A 2 foot putt IRL would roll 10 foot in game. A 12 foot Putt IRL would roll 50-60 foot in game, Needless to say putting killed me trying to deal with that mess. I have all setting on GSX and protee at default. I lost at least 5-6 strokes due to that.

Also not having a 3 wood currently really hurts

I snapped my 816 head off a month ago and have been waiting for my epic SZ 3 wood to arrive since then. A 3h can only get you so far on a par 5.
