I think this is a decent course. Not too long. Drives in the fairway are a must. I had 3 water balls due to a new set of irons but was a fun course to play.

Just got an 8 on the 4th hole.. Nice video game greens going on. Chip up and it rolls back 25 feet.. Brutal

Fun challenging course. Makes you really need to hit fairways. First round was full of water. Still have 9 left on the second round, but much less water.
Either way happy with the way I hit most of my shots. On my home courses it wouldn't have been nearly as penalized.

Got round 1 in the books last night. Man this course keeps you jittery the entire round. Started off with double on a water ball off the tee. Another water ball on 3, saved par. I played 3 full practice rounds this week and had a good game plan. However, it took me 6 holes to calm down and realize I wasn't playing within the plan.
I got a dose of what keither5150 was talking about on the drop-offs. I went long into one of the greens. Had a 13 yard chip that was one foot downhill. I used a 60 degree and hit what seemed to be perfect. Checked up before the hole, bled past the hole 3 feet, trickled to 5 feet, seemed to stop at 8 feet, then kept going. Ended up 12 yards away and off the green. THEN, I could see the severe ridge. I was able to get the next one close and save bogey.

When that happened to me, I reacted with some language that immediately took that round out of contention for YouTube. I believe that " you got to be f ing kidding me" was in there. Greens like that sure make the course accurate but, it makes it difficult for the sim users. You really have to look past the hole and putt defensively at times.

Lol, I think you have my exact words down. I don't have a swear jar so I can get away with it. I have to be careful of the neighbors though because I usually have a window open. I'm in a bonus room above my garage and my wife cranks up the heater at night and it gets stuffy. I'm pretty sure one neighbor can see and hear me. He actually coughed really loudly during my swing when I sniped one in the water on 3 last night. I was pissed, but didn't figure you guys would let me take a rewind for that. Ha!
No doubt on the accuracy, it's nothing I haven't seen/done in real life. I think you get a better feel for the undulation and slope in real life because you are walking up to the green. I'm probably guilty of not doing enough looking around when playing those types of shots during sim play.

Round one in. 86. I am happy with that Only one water ball on the 127 yd par 3. Dumb mistake. I didn't even want to mess with the water or pins at the edge of the green. I went for the middle of the green on the low side. Still the ball rolls off if you go a couple feet past the hole. Brutal greens.
Round 2 I will do the same. My aim will be for the center to wide side of the green.

Wow, what a roller coaster. Nice clean 2 under on the front. Promptly gave 7 shots back on the next 4 holes. What a choke job!!! Managed to make a couple birdies coming in though to give myself a chance. Went for it on #18 and got it in the right bunker with a chance to win. And flat out didn't hit it hard enough. Left it in the bunker with a tough 10 yarder short sided. Got it out, check, and bleeding to the right and slowly rolled over the left edge. Heartbreaker!!!
Score may not hold up but was a helluva good time.

Like the course. Hate the greens. They seem a bit over done with the hills.
Posted what may be my two worst scores. First round I had to concede a hole and first round where I was forced to concede a hole.
I was not hitting well at all. My swing was a mess. I shanked and toed balls into my skytrak....

I'm curious why when i go in the water i have to rehit at the same spot almost everytime on here? Lord knows i think every water shot was followed up by a second lol.

It's definitely an issue Toolman. It's brought up ever time we play a course with a lot of water. Definitely cost me some strokes on this tourney. The problem is we have no way of knowing whether it's a red or yellow hazard. It's really just a flip of a coin. I think I had 5 water balls in the tourney and only 1 I got to drop at point of entry. Maybe it's a designer setting? Don't know.

Every time except for one i think i was rehitting at the same point, lol. My game is bad enough I don't need added difficulty lol.

keither5150 a couple questions. It appears that we have a new leader without shot recording turned on. I thought that was fixed? Also, how are ties handled? Yes I'm asking these questions because I was tied for the lead.

Currently ties are shared. No playoff holes yet. Protee is working on the automation to detect shot recording turned off and players that have not played more than 5 rounds. This was probably the reason for the shot recording outage the other day. They will manually adjust for now.

Is there any way to put a comment on the TGC Tournament that lets those that stumbled on our tournaments to visit this forum? Maybe if they knew they would join the forum and turn on shot recording so that they aren't penalized to the -36 handicap.
-
If they don't know about the forum, they wouldn't care about a handicap that the forum places on them. TGC has no idea about golfsimforum handicaps.
But, it may be a good idea to direct them this way, if not only for the sake of growing the community.

The leaderboards will now show if shot recording is off. Off equals a plus 36.My Courses:
