Well round two was my most random round ever. It had everything from an eagle two to a quintuple bogie.

Arrrrggh!! Ok just need to vent... but two holes in a roll (2 & 3) I aimed right of the flag... pulled the shot a little (but not as much as the skytrak HLA I'm pretty sure... well fairly sure...). Both times the ball hits the bank left of the flag, rolls back into the water, then TGC sends me back to where I hit the approach. Bugs me why it doesn't drop by the hazard line at the green! So anyways after two double bogeys in a row I managed to calm down by the turn... $#&!!

Played the first 7 holes for practice before my back and legs got too tired. Water will make this course much more challenging even though it isn't long. If this was real life and with my handicap, I would bring a lot of golf balls.
            My courses:
            Aldeen
            Butler National
            Cantigny
            Canyata
            Cog Hill #4
            Harbor Shores
            Harborside
            Naperville Country Club
            Prairie Landing
            Rich Harvest Farms
            Ruffled Feathers

hahahahaha yes I'd need a bucket of balls IRL on this course. probably going to shoot high numbers unless i can get myself to play smart for once hahahaha.

Really like the bay hill course. Played 18 hole practice round yesterday. Can certainly make some big numbers if you spray it on some holes. I then played a course that said something about "for forum members". Someone around here build that course? I had fun on that track. A little quirky in spots but I liked the severe elevation changes.

I also really like the course. All that water makes my short game nervous. That one par 5 is reachable in two, if you are brave enough.

Most par 5's are reachable for you. That one around the lake, for me I'd have to pull it and catch it real good off the tee to have a chance. Then I'd probably bail out way right if I got the stones to go for it.

Lol, I had 207 into the short one on the back and fat hooked a 5 iron into the water and made bogey. What a hack!

Highlight was a birdie on 18 when I had the IDGAF's.

The other course that I mentioned above was called "The Forum Country Club".

Played all 3 rounds today. I don't think I'll ever enjoy sim putting, just not for me. I do like these tournaments however, another solid course. Tough one at only 6500.

I recently incorporated a CCE strip into my net return mat and the CCE is definitely a little rougher to putt on. Net return mat alone just wasn't sustainable for my high usage.

I'd like to get one of those thin felt putting boards that they use for putter fittings. Would suck having to place it every time but maybe could rig a slider for the ST.

I have issues with the starting direction. It's always on 7-12ish foot ones where it happens. I would rather have a 20 footer...at least I know skytrak will give me a good reading then. Had 5-6 of the +/-3 degree reads on short ones this week. Oh well...Overall I am still super happy with my Skytrak.

Branover... I totally agree with your comment on the use of putting mat. I actually use a Golfworks lie board. I use a CCE mat and they are a little to thick to get a good true roll. The board has helped my putting significantly. You are also correct about the speed... Speed is tough. I have found that you naturally get better at judging speed over time. I really struggled with putting for quite awhile, but over time I've improved a lot in terms of speed. You just learn how long of a stroke to take from specific distances. I used to three and four putt a lot. Now I rarely three putt and never four putt. It just takes time.

18 inches of snow on the ground here in PA. No school tomorrow (I teach) so I'll be getting in at least round 1!

If you're having problems with putting and you haven't already tried it... put something on your mat about 1 ft or so in front of the ball. I have 2 pieces of tape that are about 4 inches apart that creates a reference similar to the "gate drill". As long as the ball passes through this gate, then the putt should read within the TGC tolerance of a straight putt. Aim small, miss small. Obviously mis-reads happen, and no aiming reference will prevent those.

Just noticed my shot recording is way out of wack, shows 10 or so shots with a 3W on my final hole. Some with ball speeds as low as 4-5 mph. Don't understand what that's about.

You must be cheating.... We are just going to have to add those 14 strokes to your final score...LOL....And I will finally beat you. That is weird because those shots are after your round. Also, you are pretty consistent with your 3wood. 135-145 mph. Keep an eye on your data, and if this becomes an issue for you.... send ProTee a message. OH OH!!!!! I just noticed something.... Those are tee shots from hole number 1 on your second round..... The first hole is 404 yards. Hopefully they don't put you down a few strokes to start your second round. That would be a shame. Actually, I think that you need to spot me a few strokes anyway..... If that's the case, contact Protee and see what they can do. You don't want to start the next round with an 11 on the first hole.

Everyone should check their data after a tour round. We had a guy that was getting duplicate putts. The dup putt was exactly 2 seconds after the first and 0.1 mph faster than the first. Not a big deal, but if there are any bugs, we need some help to find them. Everyone needs to remember that Recorded shot data is less than a year old and there may still be bugs to be worked out.

Believe you beat me just last week, so you can forget the strokes. Haha.

I think i figured out what happened. After exiting my round, I hit a few shots and putts while adjusting my mat/gc2 alignment. I was just looking at the readout on the GC2 itself. I still had TGC open at the main menu. Still doesn't explain why it registered those as tour round shots though. Weird. Guess I'll find out when I start round 2 of those shots registered as actual strokes I guess. But I was at the main menu already, so that definitely shouldn't be the case.

They probably registered as shot data but not on the game..... I know if I pause the game and hit a shot, it will show up in shot data but not in the game. GSA once had an update that messed things up for me. So I paused the game and hit a few shots to calibrate the system........ they all showed up in shot data. So you have to back right out of the game to be safe.....The worst one was when I was picking up balls after a round. I was putting them back to the hitting mat..... occasionally it would record shot data. I have learned not to do that.

Do you pause the game to work on your swing, get back on plane then continue? lol
