Tree branches in your face again from tee boxes! Despite the distance, was in a good mood until the tree branches.

Wondering if or what the process is for updating this course with the changes they made this year. The biggest change being the shortened #12. Would be cool if the creator could update that for next year.

        Played my first round.

Not a fan of this course. 17 just doesn't feel right. I don't mind the distance, but the greens are video game style and It just doesn't have a TPC Sawgrass feel.

I'll finish the rounds, but will probably use it more for working on things than scoring high. That's pretty much what I did after 4 holes.

        Took 2 rewinds today.
        1. First Was on a chip from fringe like 20ft away. I had selected to hit putter and changed my mind to hit a chip with my SW. Hit a perfect chip that landed about 5ft on green but it absolutely shot straight forward off the green like I had bladed it something fierce. It seemed like the top spin was off the charts or something. Does this do that if you select putter?

        2. Was on hole 16 drive I think. My Son was playing in garage and literally hit me in the head with a beach ball when I was on my downswing. 😂 I almost missed the ball but got it square on the toe. I couldn't be mad though. Was hilarious to see him giggle.

Thought I played as good as I could on this course. Hit the water twice due to being stupid and not scouting my landing area prior to hitting. Had two putts sit on the lip of the hole on the front 9. My drive was decent and was really on with my long irons. Just a really tough course.
          My courses:
          Aldeen
          Butler National
          Cantigny
          Canyata
          Cog Hill #4
          Harbor Shores
          Harborside
          Naperville Country Club
          Prairie Landing
          Rich Harvest Farms
          Ruffled Feathers
          Shoreacres

17 is a joke. I know we're playing a different length this year, so I don't know if were using the same designer or not, but i don't remember 17 looking this bad last year.

TPC at Sawgrass 2017(Tour D) is alot better version imo, and has the new updates as well.

The greens seemed crazy for sure. The hole seems to always be sitting on a small hill. I wasn't sure if it was just me or not. The length is long, and I'm not a fan of anything over 7000, but I'll still give it a shot and work on my hybrid/3 wood game. I've been shanking my wedges like crazy. Driving me nuts.

wbond What is different about #17 from real life? I ask because I don't know and I know that you just played it recently. I'm certainly not a fan of those greens. I also see some of the holes being a bit different than what I've seen on TV and from playing tiger woods back in the day. I need to play another version of this course because it is one of my favorites for sure. Anyone have any suggestions of a better version of this course?

As you know, there are no boulders on 17. If you're doing a recreation of a very famous course and this is what is picked, it looks stupid. Personal opinion only. This does not have any of the recent updates, bigger lake between 6 and 7 i think. 12 hole modification isn't there. That's probably what you are seeing. I didn't pay too much attention, i was trying to beat a speed record to be done with this nonsense. I had so many three putts this week. Good thing though, I played TPC Michigan today and did pretty well.

Ya I seen those boulders (after) you mentioned it. A little hokey for sure. Unfortunately I had wayyy too many problems to even notice them before.

I got into the speed golf myself after the frustration set in.

I think that we played this version back when I first started with the tour. Yes, the greens and pin placement is more suited for the consoles... I think that one of us testing the courses may have assumed same greens and pin placements as the proTee version. We may have to stick with the ProTee version for this course. I had a 9 foot putt that was down 7 inches........
I had two rewinds in the first two rounds..... one of those SA at 32 degrees which is weird because my system registered a -3 or -4 degrees SA. , and one rewind where I didn't notice a ball laying in the FOV , so I am just about to tee off and the ball launches about 2 yards. Nobody will be setting a record with low scores this week.

I'm just happy to hear I wasn't going crazy... and that the pin placements are tougher than normal.

Take a look at how many putts everyone is taking....... tells us something about the greens. They are tough.

Played round two last night. Utter disaster. Except 17. I landed it first shot. Had a Tiger type putt across the green. After I got it I heard "worse than most!" as it came up short and far off line

Great course... If you're an actual pga professional. A little tough for me. Honestly, not enjoyable at all. Oh well, always next week

Before i forget i want to say i just took a rewind on the 4th hole of my second round. I hit a 3w maybe a little bad but it came off with a 0.00 degree launch angle and dove straight down. I've never seen a ball flight like that. Also, keither5150 never misses fairways and although you have the lead by I'm hoping to get it back.

I usually miss 3 or 4 a round. I have been swinging easier.... most of the time. Not quite as far but maybe straighter. I have noticed more fairways since getting the epic driver.

fyi I had two more rewinds. One chip where I had putter selected in round two and one in round three where the ball was in the left handed spot on gc2 and when I moved to the right handed spot it thought I hit it 2 inches. Both my mistakes and I need to be more careful. I had a lot of fun and this course is a challenge. So many hard shots which huge penalties for messing up. The drove on 18 scares me so I hit 3 iron every day.
                      Working...
