Tough pins. Really tough to get anything close, everything seemed to run away from the holes. Long par 3s wouldn't hold shots. Hit a 5 iron to uphill 205 yard par 3 pin high and ended with a 55 foot put. Nice course but greens gave me fits. Won't be adding to favorites.

That's why # 5 is called the hardest par 3 in the world...you have to land short of the green...which is why the front of the green is unguarded. I guarantee there will be scores in the 60's on this layout. I think Bubba shot a 68 last time it was played in a tournament.

This is and has always been one of the best courses in TGC. I play it all the time with my buddies. It's hard but not unfair at all. Last week's course was really easy.

Was already on my favorites. Playing a practice round I noticed my ST was reading some of my chips and pitches at around 500 rpm, that couldl explain some of my issues. The pins were tough non the less. Very few straight putts drove me nuts. I had so many 3 putts.

+6 after 4, but I wasn't overly invested in the score today, so not at all displeased with +11, even with 2 more doubles coming home. Seems like a tough course... except for allen2be, congrats on that score.

If you want some easier pins I suggest trying the " Pine Valley Protee White tee" edition.

I believe that we played the white course last time. Next time will be the white tees. Both are great! Thanks a lot for taking the time to make them.

Sorry my sarcasm doesn't translate through the keyboard very well! I was referring to my consistency in scoring this week (also sarcasm)... or maybe I'm just not very funny.

LOL, so you broke wind so hard it affected the ball flight in your second round? My advise: eat burritos after you finished your rounds. Not before or in between...

Noob here trying to join the online tour. I have skytrak + TGC all setup and have played 5 or so rounds to get a handicap. I've searched and searched and I CANNOT find this Tour to join.

Do I have to join some other way before I can find it and play?

                    thanks,

OK I found it.. its under TOURNAMENT (not TOUR). Is there any information available that explains the difference between tours and tournaments. I just assumed a new tourney each week was part of a tour but I guess I don't understand the setup.

Also, what is the "q school" tournament.. those are for people playing with no handicap?

Not sure either why it doesn't fall under Tour, I think this would get 90% of new users trying to find it. Also frustrating is it takes a couple of days to show up in latest tournaments, so being an early week player, I always have to filter by public competition first, then it's at the top.

Q school is where you are supposed to get your "tour handicap", but it's not necessary, I didn't do it. You'll get a tour handicap after 3 or 5 normal tour rounds, and it will keep updating every Tuesday. You will need to sort out any issues with shot tracking, if you are showing as a green tick on the leaderboard above, then you are all sorted.

My advice, just jump in and start playing the current tournament, the rest will sort itself out soon enough.

I think this is an excellent course but I was having some technical difficulties. Just finished up .....starting to get some odd readings... did not realize I was so good or so bad. Hit a couple of drives with 160+ ball speed(not possible by me) some of my shots were much more sideways than is normal and even while putting some were much slower or faster than they should have been. First time I have encountered significant misreads on the tgc with skytrak. I did change to a brand new ball part way thru the round but my last drive reached 168mph , hope this doesn't mean the unit is starting to fail
