Jebus! Just noticed I am down to a -1 HCP now in time for this tourney after my stellar 73 and 78 T6 performance at Doral. Would have figured it would go up. I really think we should be capping the HCP at 0 or start flighting. Pretty much unwinnable for me this point forward as people are winning tourneys a 9 under par and such. I've shot exactly 3 rounds under par ever on my Protee ever.
I hear you about my round and in no way am taking offence as we need to talk about stuff like this in order to keep things fair. I do think it is a hard thankless job trying to get HC's figured out, but I do think they are falling into place as we go. We really have not had enough rounds to have a good handle on things. That last round I actually shot a 72. That is the lowest I have shot. Ricks cool stats page shows a lot of that info which is great.

There have been a few things happen with my game play that has affected it greatly.
    One was with bunkers

      I've got a few comments.

First off, the handicaps are the same for everyone. I'm a 5 now. My best round is one time 77. So its the same for me, as well as most players. I'll back up Zmax on this one. The numbers aren't perfect no, but the point is to map out potential, not scoring average. I understand that being a 0 must be tough when you see scores under par. I can't imagine having to shoot in the 60s to tie, but I'll say it should be the same for higher caps. It's not perfect I'll admit, but its not bad.

For the GC2 putting, I believe it's anything 1.4 and under that will be straight. 1.5 will miss. I believe its more than fair this way, and that it was very unfair before. I had commented about the putting on this board before. It sounds like SFR agrees. I'm not sure if there are any other GC2 users, we'll see what they say if there are.

Lastly, I think we should decide what kind of league this is suppose to be. People who post 6-7 birdies in one round, I'm so

I think so far its been working pretty smoothly. Outside of "the lonos" three wins, thungs are speead out from a points perspective pretty well. In the tournament this weekend SFR had just enough strokes to eek out a win and it was quite exciting and fun, exactly how is supposed to be. Remember in real golf, how often do you reallyplay to your index? Not often, it truly is your potential. As far as sims being set up differently. I dont think anyone here is trying to gain an advantage, this is a just fir fun tour si what would be the point. Good input from everyone, these are thinggs we have probably all been thinking about.

I don't mind being a zero HCP. I'd stay at zero despite the inevitable high scores coming up now that my beloved hook is back. Just don't think we need to go in negative HCP territory. I realize that's not my decision to make. It's all for fun.

You do see the odd super straight and long shots out there on the Protee tour. Must be nice to have such a controlled swing.
Don't get me wrong, this league is great. I barely won each of my three wins. More luck then anything really.

well- as you can all see i havent signed up or played in anything for a few weeks-
its been tough timing it to find someone to tee it up with for one- From an outside perspective- i think it's a pretty cool thing thats going on here- always going to be those who are competitive.
And i can understand those who'd rather play with other solid players- no one wants their round to turn sloppy do to someone hacking- and although my first few attempts were a bit of hacking-i always play pretty quick.
I have seen the pro tee online community grow quite a bit since this site popped up- obviously things are being done right.
I have some days off during the week of March 18- I hope to be able to play a few rounds online at that time.

                  Hey Lono,

For fun I modified handicaps to every player's AVG of their last 5 and rounded down the number. So say your avg for last 5 is 79.9, I rounded it down to 79 and calculated the index via the course par. So as an example, for last weeks event here would be the indexes and here would be the results. Not much difference.

                  INDEX
                  ------
                  MLibbing -1
                  Bubba 3
                  Lono 3
                  JHP 1
                  Zmax 7
                  Tom 5
                  SFR 6
                  Rick 8
                  Bubs 25

                  RESULTS
                  --------
                  SFR (-9)
                  JHP (-5)
                  Rick (-3)
                  Tom (-3)
                  Bubs (-1)
                  Zmax (-1)
                  Lono (+1)
                  Bubba (+3)
                  Mlibbing (+5)

Agreed. This indicates the system is working great. I think I knew that anyway. Everyone appears adjusted down the same ratio. Fair for all! I will stop bitching now and forever. I obsess about this league. All I want to do is win haha. Each man for himself! Bring on the competition!

                    Cheers

The next person that questions their hdcp, will automatically incur a 1 stroke drop in their hdcp.:-)

Hell ya. Now that all the hoopla is settled I would love to play but I am not going to be able to make it until 7 CST. Is that going to be to late?

Z maybe you should start a sticky and label it Bitches & Gripes.
