2015 ProTee Ryder Cup - Xmas/New Year

I've been working on the Ryder Cup portion of the site for a while and while its not ready to be released, I have a few comments:

Teams: GC2 vs Protee? USA vs World? East vs West? Captain Picks?
Sessions: How many Rounds of matches? 4 like the rydercup? 5 like the presidents cup?
formats: probably limited to foursome and singles here i guess?

For the site itself, everything will be automatic like it is now and all scores will be live and up to date with custom leaderboard for the rydercup. Special access will be granted to both captains where they can login and set the day's matches like real captains do. Basically you can talk with your team as a captain and set your pairings on the system the night before each set of matches and they wont be revealed until both captains have set their pairings. Of course if we dont want to do it that way or if the captains want to set a matchup they can just talk it out.

The site will not use any handicaps so it will be up to the captains to make the teams as desired. You can make super strong teams or balance them out.

Maybe the first step is to see how many would play and then figure out teams?

I'm in. A newbie, but having a blast with all this new stuff. still trying to figure out my settings a bit, but will be ready. hopefully I can make all the rounds. as long as there is enough time to get it all in. Awesome idea, this is getting better by the day!!!

I was thinking that over the holidays we should be able to get it done. Say it starts 3rd-4th week of december and lasts a month. We do 2 fourball sessions and a singles session or something like that. Whatever people want.

For me to get in it would need to be after Christmas. I get swamped with work from now on in, and even Jan tends to be busy. Also time zones can be a real issue.

Fun idea though. I would try to be in.

Well I better get busy, just finished #10, these real courses take forever. I may be taking a vacation to a warmer climate but not sure yet, I can't commit yet on playing.

For you guys that are leaving town, you could just sit a session and play upon your return the others. Unless of course its going to be a long vacation!

Don't worry too much about the course Craig, I was just trying to sell it a bit more and Pine valley is looking good!
