I called out a 59 in one of the first posts but not a 58. Congrats Randy

if your skytrak acts up take a rewind. In the new version apparently no rewinds at all so it is going to suck for skytrak users when the wacky mishits show up. One thing that would be awesome is if they would do away with gimme putts. Definitely would start to reflect more accurate scores.

I wouldn't want to get rid of gimmie putts. I play this to work on my ball striking not my putting. I think by putting everything out it would take too much time to play and wouldn't be helping my outdoor game. Im really looking at improving my outdoor game with this.

You have issues with skytrak already and you want to putt out from less than 6'? Do you have any idea how poorly the skytrak reads short putts? You would be worse off for sure.

I hope we're able to vote to keep 6' gimmes. One of my favorite things about playing in the tournaments is being able to get 18 done in around an hour. If I had to putt that many more times it would just add to the amount of time needed to complete a round.

Wah wah wah! Lol! I honestly do not find putting with Skytrak bad. I find d it is actually fairly accurate. No matter how you argue it, 6' gimmes will never reflect true scoring. Especially when you factor in the up and down percentages. With the ability to know all the breaks and speeds of each green that in itself is enough of an advantage. Just my opinion though.

I don't find putting bad with the skytrak either but I don't think that putting 6 footers on the skytrak is going to help me outdoors and i'm not trying to make my score in sim match my outdoor scoring although at this point for me it's real close hdcp wise.

You can make your own society in 2019 and putt everything out.

You can test the putting yourself.

1-Turn off the straight putting patch.
2-Create a track so the ball can only go straight, taping two alignment sticks work very well.
3-Hit 5 putts each on the track so that they go 10', 8', 6' and 4' and see what your HLA reports for each shot. The ball is going dead straight so in theory you should have the exact same HLA reading for every putt.

You will then see for yourself just how accurate your ST is for short putting.

Curious if you can help me with putting. The moving back 2-3" behind the dot worked wonders on putting with ST unit, but every time I have a big right to left putt ST goes crazy. My ST is 10 from my screen and I'm putting on a synlawn precision putting pro synthetic grass to the screen. If there is a putt with a sweeping right to left and I putt it the ten feet to the screen, it might go 30ft or 5ft regardless of uphill or downhill. Chipping and drivers have the same issue playing anything with a draw that would start out on the right side of the bulleye on the screen. Any suggestions on ball location in regards to the laser dot?
                    Thanks.

Wbond why would I do something like that turn off the patch. That sounds frustrating. Maybe Robusan can start a society with the patch off and putt everything out. Oh boyee now that sounds like fun. 4 putting like tiger did this weekend. Lagging 6 footers.

I only recommend to turn off the patch just to run the test. I did this myself with my ST and confirmed what i had been seeing all along and I believe it's what lead to the straight putting patch. Seeing 7 and 8 footers jump right or left when you hit them straight was very frustrating.

I’m with wbond on this one. If you’re going to suggest a change to putting rules, it’s probably a good idea to make sure you have experience with the world of hurt said suggestion might bring.
