Pinehurst is the only other real course to hit that top rating so far. Also note the course we are playing next week "Old Beaver Creek" was just awarded a five star. Reebdog and ADX did an amazing job on this course also.

How much harder do they need to play? The greens are way to severe in my opinion. If the putting was easier on TGC then wouldn't be such a big deal maybe but, I've never 3 putted so much in my life or hit good shots that rolled 40 feet away. It should be a contest based on hitting good shots in my opinion not a putting contest. With that said I think you did a fantastic job on both courses and really enjoyed them just the greens could have been a little easier. Keep em coming Craig. No Idea how I had 7 birdies in that one round cause I haven't made a putt in the last 3 rounds on it.

Your probably right , I am glad there were some lower scores. Remember Pine Valley is regarded as the most difficult course in existence by many. With 50 yard wide fairways the sloping huge greens are the courses main defense. On most other course you would be chipping a lot more. On Pine Valley that chip can turn into a 100 foot putt because of the massive greens. Approach shots must be placed in correct location or you will be faced with a difficult putt. Learning where you can't miss is key to low scores on this course. I think that adds to the replay value.
