  • House on the Cliff - Drop on 18th hole??

    Hi Guys,

In my first round I scored a 9 on the 18th hole par 3. Granted I pured my 5 iron 200 yard carry over the green, however it hit ground behind the green before going into the water.
My question is where TGC placed me for my drop. I wish i had taken a picture, but i ended up 123 yards away from the green in what looked like a grandstand across the water behind the green. I would have expected my drop to be at the point of entry into the water, roughly 20 yards from the pin...

I'm sure TGC has a logic here, or my weekend warrior rules don't apply in TGC...LOL

Has anyone else ended up in the water behind the green and had the same drop zone?

The drop feature on TGC leaves much to be desired. It's one of the areas of the game they really need to improve. I would chalk it up to just a buggy part of the game that needs fixing. I still haven't figured out how to execute a drop on there other than just hitting "enter" and accepting whatever mess they give me.

Enter Key = Drop ball when in unplayable/drop mode or after moving ball in practice mode.

W Key = Move ball forward when in unplayable/drop mode.
S Key = Move ball backwards when in unplayable/drop mode.

Thanks ProTee United I'll try that next time. However, I did try using the up/down arrows and wasn't able to move anywhere. Is this the same as using the W and S keys?

I'll have to try that too. If I recall correctly, a little directional gauge pops up on the screen and I thought it showed arrow keys. Nothing happens when you press the arrow keys, which is why I always just hit enter and hope they don't screw me too bad. If S and W are what you need to press shouldn't they put S and W on the screen? (unless they do and I'm blind)
