Why is the Genesis on the TGC Tour at Oakmont and not Riviera?

I'm new to all of this - simulator in the works - so I may just be missing something. But still curious. Would prefer Riviera for this event.

It's at Riviera for TGC2019. These posts are for the original TGC game (I'm not sure why there are posts every week for the original TGC tournaments but not the TGC2019 ones). But in any case, this week's tournament is 36 holes at Riviera. It's a very good version too. The old TGC probably just didn't have a suitable version of Riviera to use for tournament play. I believe TGC2019 has the entire PGA Tour schedule covered with all the correct courses. There might be like 1 tournament with a different course.

The TGC2019 tour schedule can be seen here (it will be updated with the remaining tournaments at a later time) =

3on3putt - Two questions: First, I see that there are rules for the TGC Tour. Are there rules for the TGC 2019 Tour, and, if so where are they?

Second, I saw someone mention on this forum that players must complete Q School event before getting a handicap. How does that work?

FierceVibe - 1. Yes, there are rules for every tour (or "society."). That typically includes gimmies no longer than 6 feet, no rewinds (mulligans) and turning shot recording on. The rules can be found on the respective society menu page in the game.

          2. I don't think you have to complete Q-school before playing in a tournament, but I do believe you have to complete it in order to get a handicap. In other words, I'm pretty sure you can still play this week at Riviera, but you may just show up at the bottom of the leaderboard with a handicap of 36. (Someone may correct me on this). Handicaps update once per week.

There is probably not a decent version of Riviera on original TGC so it's been substituted for Oakmont.

Was there a problem with this week? Score isn’t showing up. Come to think of it, was there a duplicate tournament registration, or was my computer just showing two similar tournaments?
