RULES AND GUIDELINES

Purpose
To offer an online league format that facilitates all that we enjoy about playing the Sport of Golf. To make Tournament settings on each round that compare to PGA standards.

Integrity
Golf is a sport of honesty, all players are expected not to treat this like a game but treat it as if you were actually participating in live Events. Please do not cheat or manipulate the Game to give yourself and advantage. We encourage play with other online players but one can play by themselves or with a ghost ball. Scores get automatically added via TGC API so no need to enter scores. Mulligans are allowed only if there is a miss read or hardware/game error. Multiple simulator platforms will be in play.

All handicaps are recalculated and will have an immediate effect on the next few rounds!

Thanks for posting this. Ha ha! I was about to complain because i couldn't find my name and I never have, and suspect, never will win anything at golf. So why have I won 2 tournaments (yeah, who da man!)?
If it's because I have a bad handicap then fair enough, it's genuine and my first round on my half built simulator one month ago was 147 and my best round last week was 79!
But, I dont think it's fair that poor golfers like me get too many favours so as long as this is temporary, cool - bring it on, handicap will adjust and I will drop, (or improve)
But it's seriously embarrassing for me to be 2nd! (Though I love it and will show the kids and wife in the morning (UK based) - does this help me qualify for Ryder Cup! Do I need to book travel? So exciting!
(Seriously though I am an IT guy who also played a football computer game called Kick Off 2 in the 80s and they have world cup where people get together and have a weekend of competition etc. Maybe an idea for every few years, like a World Cup of simulator Golf! (I'll wake up sober in the morning and realise what a bad idea
(and you never know by 2019 SkyTrak TGC might be out)!

congrats v8burble.. I usually have you in my round as a ghost- so I feel like a know ya a little bit :P
I wasn't home to finish the second round from the last tourney... but its been fun-- I am still having issues though from everything going well and then I get a mis read worm burner - or some crazy reaction of the ball that could never happen in real life. It takes the momentum and shuts it down... (pro tee system) I hope to get it working more solid- I started latest round and was even par after 3 holes... then the mis reads started- 2 holes later +5.... I had to exit and save until I resolve the issues.
far fetched question>? now that I think about it -- these damn ladybugs have been infesting my back room- im wonderin if after the overhead lights have been on for a bit that the lady bugs get active and get near the sensor at just the right time... not likely... but I do need to go get em with the shop vac- see you on the tee.

For some odd reason I'm the leader now that there's handicaps which is strange cuz I played crap in the first three. I couldn't figure out why I'm a 22hdcp given I haven't shot 22 over in real life or on a sim in a long time. I looked into it and there's a few scores in the mid 70's score of 69 over on a par 3 course that counted to make up my 22hdcp. Is it possible to delete the 69 over? I think my 11 year was hitting balls into the water for fun months ago and I had no idea it mattered.

On another note I discovered a ton of really cool stats the software keeps. Is it possible to reset the stats?

I too would like to reset my putting stats. 80% of my rounds I was auto putting. Now that I have proper putting set up it would be nice to have accurate stats. Overall stats are awesome.

I've just realised that my first practice rounds, and first tournament, did not have the 2 yard gimme settings on, and I had to putt everything contributing to something like a +66 score, surely inflating my handicap. While I did play really well in the 3rd tournament, I'm keen to ensure that my handicap reflects the gimme settings.

For future tournaments, will handicaps be adjusted by ProTee or will it still simply use the TGC handicap, in which case I probably need to register a few handicap practice rounds with gimmes on to make sure it's inline - or find a way of scrubbing the +33 practice rounds??

Also, although the gimmes speed up the round and make it easier, I do find myself with numerous tricky looking 2yd(approx) putts that end up being a gimme and I personally feel that the gimme setting is just a little too big.
I know putting is a tricky one on simulator but is everyone else happy with the 2 yard gimmes, or would there be any future scope for something smaller (or even the odd no-gimme tournament) for anyone else that is also a sucker for punishment?

Finally - are there any plans for turning Wind settings on? Adds an extra dimension to the game for those that can shape their shots and if I ever get a hole in one, will feel more credible!

Either way, I'm loving it and looking forward to playing the next tournament.

My opinion on wind for sims is its not necessary or good. When you're outside, you have a sense of wind. Inside, no sense of wind and you have to constantly look at the wind meter. I find wind a pain.

Any status on the move to TGCTOURS? Anxiously awaiting. They keep great tournament as well as full tour user stats. Lots of guys looking for that here! No rush, but please hurry! 😜

I'm going to try and play my first tournament next week. Should be a beast of a test for me as it appears we're playing Whistling Straits Blue Course which is about 500 yards too long for how I'm hitting indoors. Oh well. I haven't completed Q-School so I don't have a handicap yet. Does that mean I'll be playing au naturale? My real life handicap is around a 16-18 but in this game so far I'm closer to a 25. I don't really care about my score but just wondering how it will work for the tournament. Also, do we play four rounds during the course of the week? When does it start and when does it end?
