Thanks Bubba. That course grinds away at you with that wind. Very difficult on the long par 4's with 20+ in your face. I am looking forward to round 2.

I agree with that wind its tough. You did good. How was your putting?

I moved my mat around before I began my round and screwed me a bit. I went +6 on the front. I kept pushing the putt as I was a bit out of alignment. Once I got it adjusted, I hung in there and finished +2 on the back. I have to work on some way to get a consistent setup with some floor markings to ensure proper alignment. Off 1-2 degrees is all the difference for missing putts. I tell ya, this is a big draw back for the GC2 compared to the Protee.

Yes the Protee putting is nice as you know, not perfect, but nice. I think you will get the putting going with the GC2. One need to build a slider on rails that allows the unit to be slid ahead to a nice putting area and then slid back to where you strike. Great back nine!!

With that new mat I got, the putting is much better than hitting off the elevated platform of the TrueStrike. I just have to make sure my line is spot on parallel with the GC2 alignment. That's the tough part.

sounds good. Man, I hit a dozen shots in practice mode with the strong wind. Yikes. 20mph cross wind is a bear especially if it's in the direction of a draw / fade already on the ball.
