Is there going to be an overall 2015 Tour winner declared? I assume we would just add up the points across all the tournaments?

      Thanks,
      Scratch

There is a leaderboard published on the front page of this forum. The season ends April 10.

      Current leader (2015): you - (308 points). 2nd - mthunt (307 points) and 3rd - V8Burble (299 points).

Thanks. That clarifies. I thought the two seasons were separate...one for 2015 and one for 2016.

Nope. Season will continue after new year and end with Augusta as final major.

First off I want to thank Protee for setting up the tour. I am for the most part enjoying playing in the events (except I really wish that we used wind). I don't want to come off as whining, but I am hoping that Protee can add a leaderboard that doesn't include handicap. It is disappointing to win many of the events only to be towards the bottom of the "leaderboard". Believe me I do understand having a handicap board as well to keep everyone interested, but 2 boards would be nice. I hope this can be added. Thanks.

I don't think that a problem rodgers. Remember this tour is "our" tour. As a group we decide on wind, handicaps etc. Adding some wind in certain events is a good idea. Perhaps w will do that in the second half of the season. Anybody apposed to some wind? No issue with showing a second leaderboard. So I understand, you essentially wan to see a Net but also a Gross leaderboard?

                I like all those ideas.

How is wind work in the game? Is it a range for amount of wind that everyone would be fairly close during their different rounds? I'm sure there is a random variable used to determine direction and speed.

If it's pretty similar from round to round that'd be fine.

Irl everyone has pretty close to the same wind speed and direction during a shotgun tournament, so if it were the case that'd be fine with me.

                Adds a bit of realism.

I like the gross and net separate leaderboard too. Best golfer without handicap should be recognized always. This is the only sport we play where you're "penalized" for being a good player.

I am ok with wind. I also like the idea of two winners. The best player should be recognized. As well as the player that managed to put 2 really great rounds together and shoot well under his handicap.

Goat I think the wind is variable but within a range. I think its pattern may change however. I will check on that though. The problem with all sim software and online play was variable wind conditions that folks didn't like. Some felt it wasn't fair. I personally think as long as its random and everyone gets similar conditions overall its fine. Just like playing in a real tourney and getting rain and wind in the afternoon where as the morning folks weather was perfect. I cant tell you how many times I have seen that and I am sure we all face it.

Thanks guys I appreciate the consideration for a Gross board as well. As far as the wind, it appears to me that each course has different variables for wind already setup (I could be completely wrong on that). I think the differences between rounds are minimal. As Bubba said sometimes you tee off in the morning with low temperatures and high winds and then by the time the afternoon tee times come it is calm winds and warm. It just gives us golfers an opportunity to complain as we always do.

I like the suggestions. I felt a fraud for first "win" due to a generous handicap - although I played really well in the second one and handicap is now adjusted preventing any more wins for sure! I want to be a better golfer and will judge myself on the Gross board.

As for wind, I like that it will force me to aim slightly away from the flag to allow for wind - which means if I do ever get that hole in 1, it might mean a bit more as I won't be auto-aimed at the pin. Or it might allow me to work on shaping more shots, which would be challenging but rewarding when I get it spot on.

Either way - I've been out of action the past couple of weeks as I lost my hitting net room but from 4th Jan I have a new industrial unit and will be building my first proper simulator, with hitting screen etc so should be joining you again soon.

vote yes for wind. I am also fine with two leaderboards. Just as long as we do not forget the handicap people. I being the highest handicap in the league and am trying to lower it appreciates the ability to compete with those that are very good.

Congrats to Keith, my fellow GSA boy for the win in the last tourney!!

Thanks Daddio, I certainly didn't follow it up with a good performance in the Santa Challenge. I think I was near the bottom. For the next one Kapalua Bay is a great course. I didn't see the lava on number 4. Lava must not be available in course creation. They actually have signs saying "Do not retrieve golf balls here" .... something like that. Number 4 is great fun in real life.
