Nice course...... I did pull a tin cup on hole 18 against the wind. Maybe this time I will make it.... maybe this time. A nice 12 on a par 5. John told me to pick up my ball.

Are we sure that this wasn't a typo? I thought we somewhat decided we wanted wind....but maybe not.

I guess if anyone's completed a round already without wind, we'll have to not have wind.

Just so you know, in case your thinking about watching on TV this week, this course here........Palmer Private, is out of the rotation. Course in is the TPC Stadium Course. Great track......Hole 17 - Alcatraz .........says it all right there.

7 over after 5 holes, then got down to 5 over after 10. So far it is my best round ever.

Weird thing is that I have a hamstring tear that prevents me from exerting much force in my back leg. So I remain balanced and I am hitting the ball straighter and farther, especially with the driver. I hope to keep it going tonight when I finish round 1.

Well I played both my round without wind since I didn't see the change until after I completed them. I screwed the pooch on the second round so it probably won't matter much

I played my first round and played OK......other than the 9 I got on that Par 4 with water down the left. Water ball on first 2 approach attempts, and then my 3rd was a shank.....a shank!

As a 2hcp, that's like missing the ball!

I like the course though, seems very accurate to what I see on TV.

That was a tough course for me. Plus I busted my tee holder..... had to go find my other tee after every drive. I played well except for a couple of holes. I may have scored better if I laid up once in a while. I was punished on a few.

I played out of my mind/body. I have never played to 6 over ever. Even in miniature golf. Wedges were on and drives were perfect. There is still another round to play. My real course handicap is at 23. On TGC it is 20. This may need to be manually adjusted. On my first handicapped round I did not know about rewind for errors or unplayables. I think I shot 120 or more. It would be appropriate to remove this from my handicap if possible. I do not know which rounds are being used for my handicap. Any way to find out?

Just playing Protee has really improved my ball striking in the 3 months that I have used it. I cannot wait to play outside again.

Maybe next round will be different. I hope not.

When your ball striking is on you can put some really good rounds up on the simulator. I shot a 1 over par round at Merion and I'm a 16-17 handicap in real life. I'll still put up the occasional high 90s round up on the simulator but that is usually due to hitting 2 or 3 in the water as it makes me replay the shot. If I'm striking the ball well I can go very low for me. I think it is a combination of never truly hitting out of the rough and how easy the short game can be. I'm pretty good at my chipping and pitching so with six foot gimmes and the easier ball physics on the green in the game my scrambling percentage is fantastic when playing TGC.

My handicap went from a 10 to 5.5...... Oh well back to the middle of the pack.

Hah well that's what -16 net gets ya. Enjoy the game of getting handicap raped. I've been loving it for years.

LOL.... Yup. I have improved a lot over the last 2 months.... with exception of the Santa challenge. I knew this was coming. In August, I was a 18 handicap in the game. Now TGC has me at a 3. Next step.... under par... I am hoping. I will have to stop making stupid decisions for that to happen. On Spyglass hill I saw a YouTube video ...https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ylh_78sNUQo . On the Xbox, Hole one, this guy hits it just over 300 and it rolls out to 343. That makes that hole reachable in 2 if you can duplicate that drive...... I feel a stupid decision coming on. I am on my way to hole #1 with Autorewind turned on.
