I'm still a little concerned about shot shaping with the SkyTrak. I warmed up on the SkyTrak before going out to play outdoors yesterday. Almost everyone of my iron shots were fades to the right. Outdoors they were straight as an arrow. I rarely hit one straight with my driver on SkyTrak or TGC. Yesterday everyone of my drivers were straight as an arrow. My woods I have a heavy draw and most of the time they slice in TGC. I can get the same draw sometimes on TGC. I'm hoping to get outside to a range today and do some outside testing.

This happens to me as well as some friends. All are very low handicap. I believe it's the room. The best thing to do is bring your skytrak outside and see what the numbers are. I did this last week. I was getting 100- 300 draw spin outside with 8 and 400-600 indoors unless I really try to not draw it. I use a GC2 but same principle. I believe it's being in a square room or the alignment to the device.

Yep, just another result of swinging differently (without knowing) indoors. Pretty common. You get more used to hitting indoors and it'll go away.

I hope this is true. I have been drawing the ball so much with my 3 wedges indoor. Between 1600-2300 rpms. It feels like I make a very solid strike and watch the ball take a hard left turn. I haven't had a chance to swing outdoors yet. I'm hoping to bring my GC2 to the range a few times to see the numbers and get an idea of my indoor swing vs. my outdoor swing. I think mthunt is right about alignment as so many of my shots start between 5-7 degrees right of target and draw way back. I'm guessing my stance is aiming right but my clubhead is pointing straight.

Now that I'm more familiar with my numbers it should be interesting to see. I'm very curious about my backspin numbers too since I hit my shots with such low spin (3000-4500 rpms) with my 5-7 irons although I'm guessing that will be harder to judge due to crappy range balls.

I just finished my first practice round. Some of those greens are just plain evil. I had an 11 foot put with a 9 foot break that barely trickled by the hole. Then it ends up 45 feet away. I actually thought it would break 7 feet as I was trying for the gimmie. I saw the trouble if I go past. If that green was flat after the hole, it would have went about 1 foot past. It's a great looking course but come on. There's a designer that spent zero time on the greens and more time putting a boat on the lake. If the guy fixes the greens, it would be a great course.

Least favorite course ever! Actually, it is the only course I haven't enjoyed. I had a 5 foot putt end up 50+ feet away. I might as well have been putting on a handicap ramp.

Agreed on least favorite. Right up there with Great Tottingham in q-school.

This may have already been mentioned, but did anyone else notice on this course that the uphill/downhill indicator were opposite between the flag amount and the aiming reticle on putts? For example, if it said 4 in. downhill beside the distance to the hole, it would say 4 in. uphill on the aiming indicator. The aiming indicator was the one that was correct. I didn't notice it until my back 9 after a few head scratchers of putts being left way short.

If your alignment is off that would only result in pushing or pulling the ball, but not create a fade or draw. So I don't think the fades or draws people are getting are a result of not being 100% aligned to target. It's either a different indoor swing like stated above, the hardware is reading spin incorrectly, and/or lighting causing the hardware to read spin incorrectly.

I was asking someone at Foresight Sports what the best lighting was for the GC2. He said Halogen is the only way to go. Must use a halogen on a dimmer switch right above the hitting area. So the other light sources are not advised. I would think Skytrak would be very similar because both are camera based systems. So if you are having problems try the halogen on a dimmer.

I had to finish my two tournament rounds today since I'm leaving for work Saturday morning. Well all I can say is that course and especially the greens ate my lunch. I had a birdie in my 2nd round just to find the water a few holes later. No chance for the first page of the leaderboard this week lol. Have fun guys

Is there a way to see the leader board in TGC that has everyone's handicap applied? This way you know how close you are to the top. I have NET score turned on in Settings. Anything else I need to do to view the leader board with handicaps applied. Thanks!

2300 draw spin? That's a lot dude. I've seen your videos. I don't see that in your swing.

Just with my wedges. I did a quick check of a couple of videos and found two spots with 2000 rpm. I know I've seen 2200-2300 occasionally with a full sand wedge. I definitely see 1600-1900 more.

I hit 58% of the greens in reg and shot an 11 over. And my putting is pretty solid.... tough greens if you are not close.....like 7 feet.

But would that explain why only the wedges go left. All other clubs go straight for me. Just every wedge is a hook. Even small chips. Which in real life is not true at all.

Yeah, not sure why. Sometimes I notice my small chips go left. So I purposely aim a little right on green side chips. But not sure why just your wedges hook left. Definitely brink Skytrak to the driving range and hit some wedges. See if the results match Skytrak's display.
