You guys scare me. I have been on the road again this week and will not be able to play till Saturday. So my plan is Saturday two practice rounds and Sunday my two tournament rounds. Hope I will do ok since I'm not sure if I can play the next 2 or 3 tournaments of the spring tour. I have to go to India for work and have no definite return date but my guess is 2-3 weeks. I will make sure to video every round like I did the last two tournaments just to make sure I have proof of not cheating. Sad but I guess that's the way to go now since there is people which, in my opinion, are a little too....... On a bad day, like last week, I easily shoot in the 90s but I don't care. That's just where I'm at with my game and all I want to see is my actual score going down after time. I really don't care what handicap I get and where I'm at on the leaderboard. I play the tournaments because it's fun and it's a nice simulation of a competition. That's all. Of course it's nice to be on the first page once in a while but getting my score down is more important for me.

Shot 89 yesterday. Four higher than I would call a good round on a course this tough. Loved it. Can't wait to play it again tonight. Not sure if anyone would agree - but I think playing this tour knowing that everyone can see how you play might make us all better pressure players. Hope that's true when my regular group starts up again this spring. Thrilled I discovered ST TGC and this forum.

Well I wrapped up round 1 just a few minutes ago. SO happy and yet SO disappointed all at the same time. Finished with a +9 80 which is 20-plus strokes better than my first practice round and eight strokes better than practice round No. 2. Disappointed because I took a couple of chances when I didn't need to and sent a couple into the trees which cost me a couple of strokes. Missed a legit birdie putt and then a very makable parr putt from 11 feet out on the final hole to shoot in the 70s. Could have easily been a 75-78 tonight. But I also drained a 33-foot par putt and holed out one or two chips from the fringe for pars tonight, so it could have been an 83-85 as well :-). Actually looking forward to round 2. Really wish I could find some consistency with my driver :-(.

I like how the picture on the original tournament details post looks all nice and soothing with no trees at all, just a few birds gliding in the wind with not a care in the world while you enjoy a nice, sunny day at the beach.......whoops haha

what? "not fun?" I played a few practice holes until the neighbor kid came over and played a few holes under my name!!! he hit one as hard as he could from the greenside bunker far out into the ocean, plus a few other great water shots, he thought it was fun that the splash sounded real ..HAHAAHA hopefully I'll have time to get round in Saturday then one Sunday.... it does look fun ,what I saw of it.Originally posted by wbond View PostGlad it's over for me. Playing it again only confirmed what I thought about it the first time around.

Well what an absolute meltdown in round 2. Wasn't going to play until tomorrow and we are supposed to be getting some questionable weather, so I decided I would play it today. Had a bad outdoor golfing day and that just carried right into the sim. Driver was all over the place. Should have stuck more with my 3 wood. I think I plunked 3-4 in the water. Pulled a Spieth and plunked two in on the same hole - AAAAAAGGGGGGGHHHHH! Just wasn't there mentally today. So disappointed. But it's over and time to move on to next week. Finished with an 80 and 91.

Anyone know what's next on TGC tour? Assuming we follow PGA tour - I looked up TPC San Antonio. It's 7500 yards and very strange. The designer put a huge boat and whale in a pond on the first par 3. It is wide open - at least that's what I saw over the first 5 holes. I think it could be fun to play but fwiw I'd rather play something 6700-6900 yards.

We won't be playing TPC San Antonio. There was only one version and it's close to 7500 yards and doesn't represent the real course at all. When this happens we will choose a more appropriate course in it's place.
