Right click on the icon and click restore.

Also as others said you can exit TGC and pick right back on your round.

FYI everyone - the course is called the Oceanic Athletic Club (not Ocean Athletic Club - even though the graphic is in the first post I was looking at the text above it and my search results came up blank). Think of Lost when searching for it...

Not sure if someone at Protee can fix this for me but played my first round today and it didn't record my 17th or 18th hole in which I went bogey, par.

Can someone update this to close out my round or am I going to have to go back and play them again?

I played like dog crap so it really doesn't matter. Lol!

We can't close your round. When you have an unfinished round you should be able to resume/continue and finish it.

Any idea why this would happen?

I finished 18 and advanced to where it shows leaderboard and then it advanced to the first tee of second round at which point I exited as I didn't have time to play second round.

Seems odd that it let me get to the point but didn't save the last two holes.

Just a suggestion, but can you disable the concede hole function during tournaments? I can't think of a reason that someone would want to use it in a tournament. My GC2 wasn't connecting when I tried to start the tournament, and I accidentally hit concede hole (which is right next to exit) while I was trying to figure out what was going on, which meant I started off +7 after one hole.

Just out of interest - is there an unplayable lie option in TGC? I pulled my drive on the first, rolled beautifully under the fence [assumed the fence wasn't "real" so hit my next chip against it and ended up hitting a driver underneath to then chip on. Should have checked at the time but is there an unplayable lie? do you replay shot (+1)?

Yes declare unplayable available for the ESC/PAUSE menu.

I had to use unplayable lie in my first round . At the 18th my drive was just a hair short which made the ball bounce back in between the stones. There was no way to get it out. Unfortunately i could only go straight back to drop the ball. At 52:48 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_S2_EVkzSMw I would have went back and right on the beach. But as you can see going straight back i had to pass the rocks and ended up back on top. Was there something else i could have done ?

Okay a few things. Like V8 in a practice round I hit several shots out into roadways and the unplayable lie feature would not get me to "acceptable" playable areas. Thankfully that didn't have any in my first tournament round. However, what is just as important or MORE is that the concede hole is right on top of the exit button, which Andy said. It has cost me seven strokes and I haven't even swung a club in the second round. I played my first and then tried to exit out because I have to go cover a commission meeting. Instead of exiting I was just slightly too high of that button and I conceded the first hole of the second round.

I know this is just for fun, but I'm ULTRA competitive and don't mind getting beat, but don't want to have to take strokes like that.

Is there anyway to reset our rounds so that we are not penalized for what seems to be a not very good placement of a menu button

That just added insult to injury as I turned another really great round into a really mediocre round because of a couple of poor decisions a few just poorly struck balls and a couple of lipped out puts. Drove one of the greens and literally missed my eagle putt my a couple of inches if that. Left a par put right on the lip. UGH. When will I ever be able to get over the hump. DANG IT

          Okay I'm done

We should add a " click here to confirm conceding the hole"

Yes please. That would be very helpful or just don't automatically take folks to the next round when they are done.

Yea, this. That was exactly what I was thinking while catching up on the posts today

Replacing "concede hole" with "go to hole..." May be more beneficial. Usually when using the concede function, I have wanted to play holes on a back 9. Takes forever to concede one at a time.

Concede hole is a work around like auto rewind.

            • #25
Agreed. When you want to practice something like 17 at Sawgrass or 18 on pebble, adding in another button every time is going to take even longer. I think just possibly moving the current concede button to a new location for the time being would be better than confirm.

So the question remains is there going to be any way to remove those strokes from those of us that have accidentally hit that button during tournament play? Or at least manually subtract them and give us the same score as round 1 since we won't be able to play it again when compiling the final results. Heck I'd even take +1 over the first round score. It's better than +7 :-).

What is the general consensus on how to handle shots that should be out of bounds but aren't and unplayable lie won't work? This happened to me on the 9th hole at the 23:30 mark. I decided to rewind the shot and intentionally hit two small pitch shots to where I felt a legitimate drop zone would be. My third shot went out of play so I ended up hitting 5 from that area. This led to a double bogey. I think that seemed reasonable but was wondering what everybody else thought. Had I not rewound I would have been forced to take the maximum 7 over par on the hole since I would have never gotten it high enough over the cliff.

From YouTube Description - Here is my second round of the Colonial Invitational. Unfortunately my first round didn't record due to a needed upgrade of an Nvidia driver.

In this round I shot a solid +9 which included a few bad (and perhaps one controversial) double bogey. My sand wedge from around the green was a bit off which led to many additional strokes than I was expecting.

The elevation changes of this course were pretty extreme but I still managed to hold it all together for two respectable scores.

I would say in this particular case you were penalized enough :-). The one I hit during my practice round I hit from where it lied because I have seen people hit off of roadways/paths, etc. Sounds like in your case that was not possible due to the lie. Personally I don't think there is a workable solution. I would think this needs to be worked out in course selection. When a course is designed can those areas be assigned "out of bounds" so that if hit there it is treated as such? If so that is the solution. If not then I think not playing these types of courses is preferable.

I agree that Concede takes too long already so best not to slow it down further.

Since Concede and Mulligan have negative consequences if accidently hit, my suggestion is to remove Concede and the Mulligan from the ESC menu altogether. Put them on the keyboard as keyboard shortcuts but make them double key combinations so they can't be accidently hit. Alt-M and Alt-C work for me.

I finished my second round just now and my +7 (conceded No. 1 hole) cost me 4-5 spots on the leaderboard. Can't remember exactly. I think I finished 8th and would have been in solo 4th. Of course that could/would change depending on more rounds being played.

Just ordered a skytrack, net, mat, and TGC is coming soon once I set everything up. It's hard to get through the week without anyone posting round videos. I bought TGC on the computer so I could mess around on the course. Man it was hard without even using real clubs. Lot of difficult driving holes.
