Thanks Sascha, It's always better to play what the pros are playing. It adds so much more to watching golf on the weekend. This one is a long one...... very close to what the pros are playing.

I couldn't agree more. I like to play the course the pros are playing and this one is really nice. I just put in my two rounds cause I'm leaving Monday morning to MD for work. Really enjoyed the course. 7400 is long for me but I did OK. Fell apart a few holes each round but also had a few birds a few holes where I didn't even get the putter out. Ended up 90 and 91 which considering is not to bad.

Played the first round of the Memorial at a very difficult 7400+ yd version of Muirfield Village. A great chip in for bogey on one got things started off for a really nice round for me considering how difficult and long the course was.

I was +3 through 11 holes but things started going south for the last seven holes. Held things together and hopefully will build on this performance in Round 2.

I would definitely recommend playing a practice round first. I shot a 96 for the first round hitting at least one ball everywhere you could hit it in the water. I even plunked it in the water in places where the water shouldn't be in play. On the second round I aimed way over to the safe side and played for bogey on some of the holes which resulted in a much better 81.

I just did an accidental concede on a practice round....... I am just going to go ahead and forget about that hole.

Crappy! I hate accidently doing that. Would be a drag during the event. I wonder if there is a way we can get that corrected when it happens? Will check with ProTee.

Yeah, I was trying to exit. No big deal, it was just a practice round. I am going to be very careful about it during the event. I will have to use concede a few more times. I want to play all of the par 3's again...... I just can't decide which club to hit on a few of them. Gotta love Autorewind. I bought a new 60 degree wedge today. Taylormade ATV. I really like it. It's not likely that I will ever hit a full 60 in the basement because I am 11 feet away from the screen. So I stopped by the local range to try it out. The full shot went extremely high and looked like it would really stick the green..... I was also hitting them fairly straight as well. I now have a new favorite club for 100 yards out. Short 20-30 yard flop shots were also a lot easier than my old 60 ( not sure what kind it was.... it's about 25 years old). For an average golfer like myself, this is a good all around wedge. Soo good that I think that I am going to have to get the 56 to match...... Hmmmm, yes, I just talked myself into buying the 56.

Got my Skytrak back today. Used the range for some warm up, and I was hitting it great there. Then played two practice rounds which made me confident. Then, I play my two competitive rounds and it all fell apart. I may have played to much. Shot a 98 and then a dreadful 106. Tough to do after nearly breaking 80 IRL this weekend.

Wasn't a big fan of the course length. The par fours I was hitting driver, 3 wood wedge. Par fives I just added another driver. Gotta find my putting speed with the updates too.

It's a shame, I am pretty sure I worked my slice out over the weekend and into my practice rounds, but dang, it found its way back in. I think my body was just getting tired.

Looking forward to improving in the next tourney.

tin cup moment on #11, had an approach from 150 in the rough; skulled it and it barely cleared the water, but rolled back down the slope into the creek in front of the green. It dropped me back at the original position, and I did the same thing again... at least it gave me a drop near the green the second time. ouch. got very lucky the first round, but was beat up pretty good on the back 9 in the 2nd.

I love how it shows the hcp on the live scoreboard at the homepage now. Now you kinda get an idea where your standing. @protee I looked at the spring tour standings and it shows me with 1 win. You might wanna change that lol 😁

I got a Logitech c920 today. I went with the c920 over the newer c930e because the 920 works better in low light (or least you have manual control so you can make it look better in low light). I'm going to record my tournament rounds like the great ks-man. ks-man do you use the built in mic on the 920 or do you use something else for audio? I have a yeti mic. I might get a usb extender and use that because the audio sounds really low on the 920.

I thought about recording my rounds, but nobody wants to see me curse, cry and throw stuff around my garage.

I just finished round 1. It's a long, tough course. Great for practicing your chipping as you miss most of the small greens. ;-) I should've brought swim trunks, sunscreen, and a towel for all the time I spent at the beach!

A net score around +3 or +4 will probably win.

As of right now druid68 is in the lead with +4 . I finished +10. It was a tough and very long course for me but I enjoyed it very much.
