I appreciated those comments very much. I spent a LOT of time building those ranges. They're not perfect, but given the limitations I had to work with I did the best I could. Thank you for the great feedback - I loved reading that!

Played my final round. Was rock'n it only 5 or 6 over after 13, the KABOOM. I exploded.

I played one practice round and the 2 tournament rounds last night. I had a sauna workout since it was pretty hot the last few days. I think that's why my ball was going for the water at least 3 times each tournament round to cool down hahahahahaha. It's crazy. I found every little creek on that course. Even the ones which shouldn't be in play hahahaha I played an ok practice round, a somewhat decent 1st round if it wasn't for the water but my 2nd round i just didn't have it in me anymore. But had to finish cause i can't play again before Thursday next week .

Whoops... Played the wrong one earlier this week. Hot as hades in Philly this weekend, so no better time to get some sim rounds in!

Easily the most frustrating under par round ive ever shot in my life. Birdied the first 3 holes in a row. Then spun one back for a ridiculous eagle on the 5th (I'm gonna post the video of that shot here) and was 5 under after 5 holes. Then I got to the 7th with a 7iron over the water and fat, toed one into the water and doubled it (was so pissed with how clean I was hitting it before that shot, I think the nerved got to me there). Then proceeded to bomb like every drive right down the middle and just could not hit a single good pitch shot from 70-90 yards the entire round. Was actually missing greens on most of them. I was dropping F bombs like I never have haha. Then I managed to 3 putt 2 out of 3 holes and one poor short chip on 14, 15 and 16 and bogeyed 3 in a row. I managed to make a 23 and 11 footer on the last two holes for birdies to get it back 2 under par. And if I hadn't made those putts I would have been livid at myself for letting what could have been the best round ever into a just a very solid one but not after how it started. I would post the round but way too many curses and anger when I was letting it get away for a bit there haha. This is surely the first time I had ever been frustrated with such a good score and kinda feel like an ass for even complaining about a 2 under honestly, but hoping that's a good thing in that I'm getting higher and higher standards for myself and I just knew what it could have been if I hit the shots I knew I could.

But enough of my spoiled rant, enjoy the coolest eagle ive ever had for sure. The set up is I hit a decent drive on the right side of the fairway, blocked by the tree, tried to hit a big slice around it, went straight and ended up here. And warning, gets a little loud when I yell once it went in haha...............

I am going to follow up your eagle with one of my own. Nice shot BTW. I had a terrible start with an 84. Thinking that I was going to be in the bottom half once again, I played my second round right after the first. I shot a 70 with an eagle on 17. I have been hitting full shots a little further since I took some advice from the golf channel. I changed my grip and now hold the club much looser. This allows me to hinge my wrists much more. It is challenging to get the club head to catch up at impact. This added about 15-20 yards to my driver and woods and about 10-15 to my mid irons. I can't do it with the short irons for some reason. I am not going to post my first round...... too much profanity.

Thanks...... I also had a practice round where I birdied all the par 5's...... but it was practice..... glad to finally put up a good round when it counts.

Very nice shot! Saw it hit the green and was thinking how is this one gonna turn that far right haha, I had seen the 70 you put up and was hoping youd post it up to give a look see. That's crazy you were able to manage to add another 20 yards on your driver, you already were crushing them before that too! Awesome round man. Spread the the love if that tip is in any video form haha. Curious, what is your normal ball speeds off your driver as well?

The GC2 at golftown has my ball speed from 165-185. My 7 iron tops out around 133 mph. My system is not as accurate as the GC2. My spin rates are calculated and not measured. With only a general spin adjustment, I adjust my spin so that the mid irons are about right with RL. The short irons are a little light on spin. The driver and woods have way too much spin. I adjust my speed to match the distances I see on the GC2 and IRL. IRL, I probably average 285 or so with my driver. Protee is soon adding spin adjustment per club for GSA users. This will help me duplicate my real life game better. At the end of the day I want to see what I see IRL.

Also I gotta say, love the quick play for the videos, but why no practice swings? I mean I only take one light one to loosen up but was wondering youre thoughts behind it. Also would love to see how your full swing looks if you are able to adjust the camera in such a way. You hit it very straight and kill it and curious to how the rest of your swing looks. Great playing the second round again!

I will try to find that video of the guy with the loose grip..... I tried it and couldn't believe how it instantly added length. Jamie Sadowski also stressed that a loose grip is key. I saw the Jamie S video on the golf channel. Last game IRL, I carried most of my 7 and 6 irons further. My 8 iron to wedges were about the same. I couldn't hit them straight if I hinged too much.
The rest of my swing is not good. I bend my lead arm way too much. A pro once said that he has no idea how I can square up the club with that kind of swing. IRL on Thursday, I hit 12 out of 14 fairways from the tee. One of them that I missed was an 8 iron. I was 11 for 12 with the driver. 4 drives over 300 with the longest about 330. I had two worm burners that were only 5 feet high..... but they made the fairway. Previous real life round was 10/14.

As for practice swings.... I don't know..... I waggle the club a bit. IRL, I don't take practice swings either. Sometimes with the short irons and chipping, IRL , I will take a practice swing or two. The lie is always the same in the basement.

I started with the camera low so I could see the ball. If I go wide angle, sometimes you can't see the ball. Many times I have a really low LA so if the system reads it as a putt, I need to see where the ball hits the screen so I feel justified in taking a rewind. On hole 5 the ball hit the screen about an inch or two from the bottom of the image. My image is about 10 inches off the carpet. That should equate to about a 4-5 degree LA... the ball went about 2 feet..... so I took a rewind. Reloaded without changing anything and hit a good drive. For a while there my webcam was out of focus?????

Next video I will move the camera back..... I will also try not to swear so much. If I find that video I will post a link in a new thread.

Ha! I think about this all the time. I take two parctic swings IRL, three if the first two felt bad. I once took practice swings for one of the first tourneys I played on sim, but now I only do it if I have not been hitting the club in my hand well.

Haha I was laughing when I saw the drive on the 5th that only went 2 feet after that powerful swing. And that's crazy impressive, thats better fairway numbers then some pros im sure, especially with the distances you are hitting them. Tiger couldn't even keep it on the fairway half of the time anymore toward the end there. You definitely have some great hand eye coordination when it comes to the driver. If you get your wedge game down like the driver you'll be unstoppable.

Yea if you can find it, Id be curious what the tip was exactly. Ive tried loosening my grip before and it usually just makes me loose control is all. And even when I do hit it square I don't notice any increase in distance.

Loosening your grip allows you to hinge the club more at transition. The top 3 fingers remain rather strong....pinkie to the middle finger. Somebody took a video of my swing with their phone in golf mode. In golf mode you can watch your swing in slow motion. My club is way behind all the way through the swing and then at the last instance the head catches up at impact. Strong flexible wrists are needed to hinge a lot. I have good strength and flexibility there from playing hockey for 45 years. I have shortened my follow through quite a bit. I square up to the target but I don't wrap the club around my head anymore. Partly because of my bummed shoulder and partly I am worried about scraping the ceiling with my follow through. Another thing that is wrong with my swing is my tempo..... way too fast everyone says. But if I slow down, I have trouble squaring up and I slice. When I first started with TGC, my Fir's were about 35%... now I have them up to 75%. Playing 250 rounds since last August might have something to do with it. Combine that with equal practice time. I had big improvement over the winter. I was ecstatic when my real life game showed the straighter drives in the spring. I have a youtube video under keither5150 that shows some drive replays in September compared to the spring. You can see how badly I sliced back then. I hit it far but sometimes it went 60-90 feet right to left. I will look tomorrow for that video.

Jrz, It is meant for taking multiple pictures of your swing, you can then play them back forward and backward with pause..... I just checked my Samsung Note 3.... it has it. I think that the iPhone 6 has it too. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hCuIdR1Xp7U

That is funny, I used to take several practice swings, but ever since playing on the sim I now take a lazy little rubbery arm motion at best before I hit. Still like hearing the skimming of the grass before I swing I guess. Must have something to do with simulators that kill practice swings haha.

Absolutely, and figured you had to be hitting the mid 180s on some of those swings with the results, that's incredible. I can hit it a good distance but low 170s is where I seem to max out, usually in mid to high 160s. Every time I try holding my angle off to store up more power and lag it usually just ends up feeling like I'm flipping my club at the ball at the end and probably end up hitting it shorter, higher and to the right. My wrists must not be strong enough or my body positioning is out of sync in some way that I just can't figure out yet. Always watching sadlowski videos and thinking, I'm pretty flexible, that doesn't seem that hard to do and he's a pretty small guy, no reason why I shouldn't be able to do something like that....nope haha, I don't know how he builds up that much speed being that size. I know his wrists are very flexible and strong but even when I try and do bend my wrists that much on the back swing it never results in anything close to what he ends up getting. Ah well, I'll keep trying things and see if i can get it there some day. Would love to be able to hit the 180s at some point in my golf life.

And was that a typo that you've been playing hockey for 45 years?! When you bend over to pick up the ball, you don't look that age, look like you are in your 30s or something, by the side of your face at least haha. Crazy impressive if you are actually that age and still bombing it like this
