Pretty much a chipping contest for me. I think I missed a total of three fairways over two rounds and probably only held 10 greens if I was lucky.

Something definitely funky about those greens. I would hit a high 8i with lots of spin and it would run off the back of the green.

Just shot 8 over for one of my best rounds. I did not record it but I will the next round. The game is coming around.
Those greens were slick, but my short game saved me.
IRL I had my best round ever yesterday. All I needed was par on 18 to break 80. NOPE, I duck hooked my drive and hit 2 awful 3 woods. Finished at 82 at the Coeur d'Alene Resort. I did hit the floating green at 170 yards away but 3 putted from 46 feet away.

Second round bettered the first. 5 over 77. My wedge play is keeping me in the rounds. The video is uploading. Tomorrow morning it will be ready. I am really working on wedge distances but sometimes I overcook them and the fly 20 yrds farther than I hoped.

Yes, Congrats Sascha1818 and @Dela1274. A 3 way tie is most unusual. Of course I went out IRL and shot 21 over. Go figure.

IRL I just shot an 81 on a 6500 yard course with a slope of 71/131. That came with a 5 and a 6 on par 3's. That was a great round for me. With TGC I am disappointed in a 81. Maybe it's the perfect lie or 6 foot gimmes. What ever it is, I play much better in the basement than on the course. I am at least 10 strokes better in the basement. Congrats to the winners.

My handicap is 4.8 IRL and 1.8 on TGC tour, but on average I'm probably about 5 strokes better in TGC. A lot of that is 6ft gimmies. I suck from 6ft and in IRL.

The CX2 is lacking club data.... that is for certain. But if you know what your ball flight is like IRL, it isn't too hard to duplicate it with the CX2. There are sliders for draw, fade , push, pull. Plus spin adjustment. I try to have mine set up to reflect my real life ball flight. I am considering adding a floor sensor that is very similar to protees. That would add club face, path and club speed which would be enough along with ball path and LA to be accurate. I am not too sure how much my club path and club face varies. Over my last 10 real life rounds I have hit more than 2/3 of the fairways. My Gir's and Fir's are really close to TGC's stats. My biggest issue in real life is the different lies. Uphill, downhill, sideslope..... I tend to suck at such shots. Those shots are absent in the basement. I have a fiberbuilt mat and it is really easy to hit off of compared to a tight lie on a fairway. My buddies say that I would be wasting my money by adding a sensor mat. I think it would be good if the game goes to hell for a while. It might help with fixing my errors. Until I have money for a GC2, my CX2 will have to do.

Adding club path, face angle and speed would significantly increase the accuracy of your system. Well worth it. Especially for someone who plays and enjoys it as much as you.
If the price gets near a used Protee you might be better selling the cx2 and switching. The GC2 is a great choice if one has the money, otherwise the PT and ST are good choices too.

I think the gimmies definitely help the scores! The JNPG tour has a 4-ft gimme instead of 6. Makes it a little more realistic. And yes I think for a LOT of the courses that we play not having to hit out of the "actual" bad lies plays a significant amount into our rounds. I've shot a 77 a couple of 78s and 2-3 79s this year IRL. I shot an 82 on a 7400 course earlier this year and that was with two penalty shots. My low sim round is the 74. Even with the perfect lie you still have to put a good swing on the golf ball every time.
And sim and IRL is the same in that I can shoot in the 70s and I can go anywhere in the 80s and possibly even low 90s on any given outing, which is what is frustrating to me. I still haven't been able to find that consistency I'm looking for round in and round out.

I played in a 2 round tournament this weekend IRL. I missed three 2 footers (yes three times), a 3 footer and two 4 footers. Doh! Thankfully I still shot 78-84 and won my flight.

We went birdie, par, birdie to start our three-man scramble yesterday and then picked up a couple of quick bogies. Couldn't get out of our own way and was stuck on even par until the final three holes and birdied two out of the last three to take second in our flight. The team we were playing with was up two on us and finished first :-(.
