Is it just me or are these greens made out of concrete? I could not get the ball to stop on the greens for my approach shots. I had to land the ball short of the green to get it on the green.

Ha I thought the same thing! I had 8 and 9 irons that were well struck going 15-20 yards past where they landed after bounce and roll.

Completely agree too much roll out on full shot and chips etc. Managed to get some short iton to check up but usually get some back spin in previous comps.

Yeah, i love the greens. These are how I imagined Augusta...err...Magnolia...would play, but was surprised that it did not. 79 & 76 so far in practice...so tournament 88 incoming!!

Well I had a great round going in round 1 until the back nine and then I imploded and finished 9 over par I think. VERY disappointed in how I finished. So, I went immediately into round 2. WOW! Best round of my entire life with a +2 74. I was -2 through I think 12-13 holes. Then I imploded again on a couple had bogey, bogey, double bogey before I got back on track. I had two makable looks at birdies on holes 17 and 18 to get back to even, but they didn't fall. Again look back and just see so many shots that could have been saved especially in round 1. I had three par saves that were right at the hole. Although I did sink a 65-foot putt for birdie in round one that was fun :-). Then I thought for sure I was going to have my first hole in one in round two on the par 3 187 hole. Hit a five iron and I think it scooted just left of the hole and was within gimme distance for the bird.

I was +1 through 8 holes IRL on Sunday afternoon after going about +13 earlier in the day in 9 holes :-(. Ended up taking a double on the last hole because I hit my approach shot long and there is out of bounds about five yards long on that hole. The iron game is finally coming around. Driver is still not nearly as consistent as I want it to be but this week's tournament the course is SO forgiving it didn't really matter where I hit it :-).

Played both rounds this evening. I recorded the first one, but I don't think I'm going to post it. I need to work on the frustrations in my game. Once I do I will post them again.

I'm just all over the place and think I need to go in for a lesson and have them tell me what to work on.

I'll keep plugging away on the tournament, though!

Played two practice rounds of 82 and 72 and had a great first round of 68. I started off with a misread and dropped some F bombs but pulled it together for a great round. I will post the round later..... viewer discretion is advised. These greens are fast and you are better to be short than to roll off.

ProTee - there has been some kind of mistake where I have been credited with a win and 3 or 4 others now show as having played 5 tournaments in this summer tour when there has only been 4 so far (plus this current one).
I don't mind being top of the standings, but I shouldn't be).

Thanks! We will fix that shortly... In the mean time enjoy your 4th place!

My first round. I start off with a mis read. my first two drives were almost identical but one registered at less than 1 degree LA. I usually hit between 5 and 10 degree LA.

Thanks, my ball flight IRL is pretty much straight as well. When I get tired I pull to the right on occasion. Alignment is my problem on the real course. In the basement the mat helps with that. There aren't any straight lines on the tee box IRL. My shots became straighter when a buddy gave me a tip. Lead hand top 3 fingers need to be strong on the grip. As long as your hands come down in the same starting position, the club face will be pretty square. Now he's no golf pro, but that tip worked for me..... even when chipping.

On the golf course I always try to find something close to my ball on my intended line. This is usually easy on the tee box. It can be a divot, a leaf, broken tee someone left, etc. I line up to that and then try to think I'm hitting on the simulator. 😀

Ok, I'll play post the round. Still trying to decide where I like the camera. I'm outside, so if I want it here, I have to bust out the tripod and ladder and whatever to clip it to. Kinda a pain in the ass but I like this angle much more then overhead.

I like my camera low. I like seeing the ball during flight. I am limited with how far I can have my camera away from the computer. If I add another cable, I lose video.....I just get a still picture during recording. If I raise my camera, there is no way I can see the ball.

Maybe this has been answered already, couldn't find it. Is there a way by now to show and print the tournament scorecards ? Would be really nice.

Doh. Had it to 4 under thru 11 in round 2 and then had back to back three putts.

Looks like my first tour win will have to wait a little longer :-). Nice couple of rounds Bama. I'm afraid with my handicap headed downward and the consistency of my game still in full flux a win is probably out of the question :-). Played JNPG tour round this evening and went +19 I think. Driver just SUCKED. It's so poor right now I ordered a Grumpy Dwarf head cover for it.

Ok i know now what i was missing the whole time, beer and smokes. I got off work today and figured since it's weekend I'll take a few beers with me. Did a John Daily round hahahaha Played a practice round which was great and then figured why not play the first tournament round ..... 2 beer and 2 smokes later i was 1 over after 9 :-) well fell apart on the back but still ended up with a 6 over (Only my 2nd time in the 70s) after that i figured why not play the 2nd round. Usually that's a bad idea, 3 rounds in a row. After 9 i was I think 7 over but played on and finished 9 over. My best tournament ever, 15 over !!!!!!! and needless to say that i kept the beer and smokes going hahahahaha i think it was 6 and 5-6 in the end hahahahaha

Just finished my the first round - 20 over for me which is about right, but lucky I scored par on the last 3. Double the first three holes, the greens are really crazy different. Got the hang the last 3 holes since all the pars where an up and down.
                  Like the course....big fairways.
