Yes I thought the greens were like concrete and very difficult to control the ball with approach shots. Innormally get check or backspin and this felt very difficult

question to any how do you play this course with out it processing to the tournament, I would like to play a round for practice first to get the feel of it, Is it just like playing any round of golf as you stay away from the play tour button... in the main menu

I did it by playing a normal round and finding the course.

Do the money lists and world rankings reset for the new tour season or does it just conitune?

          • #9
No, the Top 50 world rankings will include all tours.
We did add individual tour rankings with points and wins to the tour site.
The tour leaderboard on this forum (front page) will update after the first event.

On golfsimulatortours.com, if you go to the world rankings and try to sort by earnings, it is sorting by the first number in the earnings instead of the value ($9 would sort higher than $8,000,000). Not a big deal but I was just curious to see where I stand in terms of earnings. It would be cool if the world rankings were somehow weighted towards more recent tournaments to give newer guys a chance to move up.

Also, exporting to a CSV file doesn't work too well since there are commas in the earnings column.

Work around for csv. Open in notepad (right click edit in windows 10 usually open it in notepad). Ctrl+H Place your comma in the find what box, then pick replace all, save the file. Open in Excel. HIghlight the first column, choose text to columns, delimited, ; as your delimiter and it will get your data in a usable format and let you sort the earning.

Well a very disappointing couple of rounds to start the season. This is a VERY easy course layout and I just could not take advantage like the previous tournament on this track. This was so disappointing because the driver was on for the most part. Chipping again just killed me. It a couple that I thought were going to be really tight and ended up 8-10 yards away from the hole. Missed a couple of makable putts and had another push/pull putt miss. Those are becoming annoying.

But it was nice to hit some quality shots after the IRL club championship disaster I had yesterday. Had the worst round of the year. It was a shotgun start and our group had to start on the worst starting hole of the course. Doubled and it was downhill from there. Hit 3-4 balls out of bounds. Only positive was I had three birdies on the day.

Couldn't find my swing in round 1. Was hitting these low big slice drives lol. Figured things out after the round and had to go ahead and play round 2. Much better the second round! 👍

lol, told myself I was not going to play early again. Got home from work, had dinner, started a practice round, par, par, par, par....Ok, fine, I'll play early!

                  Quit and start tournament....

double, bogey, double, bogey, +6 thru 4.....

lol, this is basically just like my RL game.

I see my first round score got posted, but why don't I have a handicap showing up? I see it says 'tour handicap,' so I'm assuming it will come with more rounds on tour/tournament? Why does everyone push the 5 rounds/Q school in order to get a handicap if it doesn't apply? Just want to make sure I'm not doing something wrong or missing something.

Random question, why is the tour run as a tournament, as in, why did I have to go tournament to find it rather than tour? I'm just trying to learn my way around TGC.

Also, when I finished my 5th round a few nights ago, I saw that it gave me a handicap, but when I got on tonight, it was gone and I had to resume that 5th round again and it took me to the 17th hole. Was this just a syncing issue or am I supposed to do something to make sure it is save before I quit the game? Is this a common common error?

                  Thanks guys.

When you finish your first tournament you will get a tour handicap. There is a sticky somewhere describing it. The only confusing part was that I thought you needed 5 rounds. You just need to complete one tournamanet I think. So it should be established for the next tour stop for you.

I do not see your shot record on, not sure if that will impact much but it might that would be a question for older players on the forum but I think that it might have an affect off the get go.
