HOW TO PLAY
From the main menu select PLAY-> PLAY TOURNAMENT -> ALL TOURNAMENTS -> SET FILTER TO PUBLIC COMPETITIONS

You can play by yourself, offline with friends or ghost players or online.

Please turn on Shot Recording! PM if you need any help with this.

Thanks guys. Been swinging well lately. The key for me is getting back familiar with distance control on pitch shots in TGC. I hit a lot of pitch shots inside of 6 ft that round, along with some irons. Also got lucky and read a few putts correctly that went in. Just one of those rounds where everything came together. I dread seeing where my handicap ends up next week after that one. Ha.

Well it's really 16 putts, those 2 putt pars only register as one putt because of the gimmie par. Then the birdies make the total 26 putts. Really wish the scorecard would accurately reflect that.

Vincent_Vega, WOW!! Great scores... Doesn't seem right that you're not in first when the leader doesn't record his shots... Is that what usually happens in the tourneys? This will be my first one played.

Jwheels9876 I have no idea what "recording his shots" means ,, someone let me know , how to turn it on or what setting to change, i would love to record my shots . Also why would this be an advantage or disadvantage?

It allows others to see every shot you hit so they can tell if you're cheating. If you take a mulligan/ rewind it'll show. If you hit 8 iron 150 and driver 350 your using boost ect. That's it. For your own use you can download the shots and track your data in Excel.

thanks mthunt , i had no idea you could hit a mulligan or rewind a shot !! lol yea i could see how you could cheat do that! but it has never crossed my mind to attempt that during a tournament and I assumed you couldnt and would be built into the tournament somehow , Vincent Vega is a friend and helped me get set up , he is explaining to me how to turn on shot recording from this moment forward, I didnt know you could cheat or boost your shots, i can see why this would be a concern tho for sure.

Thanks. I actually know JC golf, I can vouch for him. He has only had TGC and Skytrak for a short time. He's about as good of a player in real life that you'll run across. Like many, his scores are trending down in TGC finally because he's getting use to chipping/putting. I'll get him set up with shot recording before the next tourney. Have to remember that not everyone necessarily frequents the forums so they might not know about the shot recording. But most have it turned on. Wish Protee could just automatically make that default to happen, but I'm guessing that's be difficult to do.

The TGC for SkyTrak installation program has installed a shortcut on your desktop: SkyTrak TGC Settings.

Run this and it will open a configuration file.

This file which contains a section [TGC Online].
Here you will find:

Shot Recording=OFF
USER ID=<YOUR USER ID> eg. AAAA-1234-CCCC-5678-EEEE

1] Turn on Shot Recording by changing OFF to ON, save the file.
Shot Recording=ON

2] Copy the USER ID.

3] Edit your Forum user profile and paste the USER ID in the field: TGC User ID.

4] Edit the field TGC Nickname in your forum user profile. Make sure its EXACTLY the same as the nickname you use in TGC.

5] Save you forum profile and hit a couple of test shots on a random course.

I've got recording turned on, and I'm getting better at switching my clubs to reflect what I'm actually hitting :-). Still not perfect, but getting there. One thing I noticed is there are no hybrids listed. So when I use my 3 hybrid I'm selecting the 3 iron. The yardages are pretty comparable I believe.

Oh, nothing against the leader there, just thought it would suck if you put up those amazing numbers and someone would actually be taking mulligans etc and beat you because of it.
It would certainly be good if it could be turned on automatically for these tournaments at least. Again, Great scores,that's super impressive.

To all just talked to dennis on this and yes thats my fault but BOO your the only one that did this. Stingreye and I were trying to play a game together and do a practice round on crooked sticks and spent 30 min trying to find each other to join the same game and play together using team speak, we had no luck on this until i did this, I apologlize in advance and did not know you could not cancel this after the game was done. but side note playing together on the same game using team speak was the most fun i have had since playing TGC. and we are doing a foursome this weekend and will start playing together more often, if match play is coming you guys will understand if you have never done this, AGAIN sorry for this please do not pick mine and read before you click to play

Nowhere I know of. But we should get something started. It's slower but it's also a lot more fun than ghost balls because you see every shot.

yes I will get something in groups put together and will start a new thread on this and we can build a calendar on courses I will do a east coast time slot and a west coast time slot so its reasonable but you can pick whatever if you have a buddy thats on the opposite coast I will post instructions on how to get this working. But its longer game play but so fun nothing like watching Stingreye put one in the water and listening to him cuss out the game over team speak!!!!
