started to have connectivity issues but never disconnected. I decided to quit and open up a VPN. Things worked fine after doing that. I'm not liking Spectrum too much. Never had issues until they took over.

bluetooth challenges - tried to connect multiple different ways with no luck, etc. Aero was very helpful and offered to assist in getting everything straightened out. All and all a bummer, but it will be all worth the wait when I get it back!

I am either really lucky ( chipped two in ) or those free lessons are really paying for themselves.......??? I fixed this golf pros computer and he gave me about 6 things to work on and a couple of practice drills.....I didn't want to burst his bubble....some of the drills I've seen on YouTube. This was a couple of weeks ago. He came to my house drank some of my beers and gave me some pointers. My swing may never be pretty.....his words, but I can learn to work with what I have..... which is arthritis and lack of flexibility. Long story short.... I know this is a hard course but if you can stay out of the water, it can be beaten. Your chipping will have to be great because the greens are so tiny. I have recorded both rounds but they are not really YouTube material. One was without the webcam. I didn't have any rewinds but one phantom shot on hole one in the second round. I hit from 131 out and put it within 8 feet.... It shows two shots from 131 with the second....looking like a misread at 18 mph from 131 out..... weird. Perhaps it picked up a rolling ball coming back from the screen or my club reaching for the ball. I will be recording my rounds from now on..... just so I can put two and two together with my data.

I bet you are dying to know what I am working on. He has me swinging without the ball over the sensor.... 100 inside out then 100 outside in and then 100 as straight as I can. Right now all with a square face. I am to add opening and closing the face later. I fricken love my sensor mat now!!! I still don't always hit where I am aiming but I took a few steps forward these past 3 weeks. He also has me practicing picking the ball as clean as possible for those tight lies IRL.

I'm impressed with those scores. This course beat me up with penalties and three putts. Good rounds!

@mainstgolf..... I recently added a PX2 sensor mat to my GSA CX 2 camera system making it a PX5 system. It gives me club speed, club path, and face angle along with ball speed, launch angle and direction from the cameras. Ball spin is calculated. After watching a few videos on YouTube, I could move the ball left to right and right to left. Lately I have been really paying attention to my club path.

Thanks Tom.... my chipping and putting was really on today. I took a hint from CKLguy and was taking more time lining up the putts and chips. I am hoping that I can keep this up. It might just be a good run of luck....

I was going to ask where this huge improvement came from - but I thought it was impolite to ask. Congrats.

Thanks.... I can see my handicap going sub zero now.

I did have more than my share of luck.... I chipped in 2 in the final round. This course is so tough I started playing, thinking that I would be happy shooting 3-5 over. Hopefully I can keep this up. I had to get this tournament out of the way quickly.... I have hockey 4 times in the next 6 days.... and I don't swing well when I am sore from hockey.

This inside out and outside in drill you're doing - would the hmt on gc2 pick this up? For this kind of improvement I might be willing to go all in.

I would think that it would..... the nice thing about my sensor mat..... I can take practice swings and it will show club data. Those 100 swings ( or so.... I usually lose count) can be done pretty quick without the ball. I am not sure if the HMT picks up club data on practice swings. No matter, you can just hit a 100 both ways. I think that the HMT would be a great addition especially if you want to shape your shots or fix a problem. When doing this, my goal is 2- 4.5 degrees path with a square face. Squaring the face is tough when you are going inside out or outside in.

I do have to say that I was fairly lucky on more than a couple shots, but I did play well enough to par the course even without the lucky shots. Who knows maybe I just need more lessons to get to the next level.

About 30 years ago, when I started golfing.... I thought, how hard can it be.. the ball is just sitting there. I can shoot a moving puck while I am moving so how hard can golf be? I actually though that I would be a scratch golfer within two years.... ( pause to wait till the laughter stops). What a humbling game. This is a game where there are no short cuts and no magic. You simply have to put in the time and find what works for you. I have also increased my practice time to playing time ratio to almost 3 to 1. I have noticed a drop in my handicap since I started doing that.

Great rounds! Definitely a tough course from what I remember. Im reading the whole first paragraph thinking, yea yea misread this and that.... this SOB isnt going to tell us the secret tips he got hahaha. Thats actually very interesting, Im gonna try that. I cant see if I purposely did those in-out and out-in swings it might give a much better feel to a player as to where the club really is in your swing at all times and thus (hopefully) much more control.

He gave me some good pointers on when to use shot shaping. Not only to stay away from trouble but to funnel towards the pin after landing the green. I was practicing fade shots with my 7 iron and after the ball lands, it goes left about 5-15 feet. During the last tournament, at times I was aiming a few feet left or right of the green rather than at the pin. Works pretty good especially if there is a second tier that you want to stay away from. I'll be working on different types of shots with the same club over the next few months. I checked my shot data.... and since July I have hit over 16000 shots and have seen a jump in my improvement since I added club data to the mix. Best money I have ever spent other than TGC. CX2 users will be well served to upgrade to PX5.

Well I'm not sure I have every played a more unenjoyable round of golf in my entire life real or sim. That was PATHETIC! I probably beat that dudes record in the Bahamas of losing 38 golf balls and the wind wasn't even freaking blowing. That SUCKED! I can't make up my mind if I should just play round two and get it over with or move on to the JNPG tournaments and forget about this one for a while. I had a couple of really good drives and drained a 28 yard chip shot for a double bogey. How about that.

Is it me or does holes 14-17 feel like we are shooting at the same green just from different angles?

Really wasn't that bad after 9 holes. I think I was +3. Back side blows chunks!

It was certainly a difficult course! I too noticed the similarities in holes 14 - 17. I enjoyed the challenge though!

                  Hi Everyone,

My first tournament, apologies as I must have made a mistake with the shot recording, I'll correct the error before my 2nd round.

QQ - For the GC2 users, I had one missed shot in my round and it was a flop shot coming out of a high-faced bunker. Has anyone else noticed challenges with the GC2 capturing flop shots? Not sure if this shots could be played closer to the unit etc...I figure it is caused from the loft of the shot but wanted to see if this was a common error.

Are you on 3.10d. On protee interface? It should have fixed when gc2 reads but no launch in tgc.

I am on the most current version, but I'm pretty sure my problem is with my Bluetooth adapter. I've tried three different ones now. I think it may have something to do with the metal case. The issue goes away when I remove the case.

Thanks Stingreye. I actually didn't have 3.10d. I was on the b version. I hope this fixes it! I didn't have a lot of missed shots, but it was annoying having to reconnect to get shots into TGC.

Welcome to the tour Mike! No worries about the shot recording.... there are plenty of posts showing how to turn it on. I don't have a GC2...... maybe some day... Someone will answer your question shortly I am sure. There are plenty of GC2 users here.
