Boost: OFF (+/-5% max on club settings)

The Careerbuilder Challenge runs from TODAY - January 22.

HOW TO PLAY
From the main menu select PLAY-> PLAY TOURNAMENT -> ALL TOURNAMENTS -> SET FILTER TO PUBLIC COMPETITIONS

You can play by yourself, offline with friends or ghost players or online.

Ryan, Camera's disconnecting could mean a weak USB connection. You would benefit from buying a $30 USB 3.0 card and run your cameras off of that. I have a GSA system ( similar to protee) and that fixed all of my connection issues. Shot recording..... did it work before? I don't see Ryan5508 on the list. You need to have your username the same on both sites.

In the text tgc settings file it sets my user name to Ryan Smith. I have tried to change that to Ryan5508 but it always changes itself back.

I have also tried it both ways on the user settings section of the forum. Hit some shots trying both names and still getting nothing.

I am just going to pack up the protee and make my changes for the gc2. I just had my 10x15 putting green delivery today.

Through 5 I was doing well by my standards. Then the water balls came. Man. Not great, I would never want to play this course in real life.

Well, round #2 happened. Not sure if anyone has noticed but there is water on some of those holes. Lol! I dunked a few, then I really dunked one on #15 for an ace! John was more stoked than I was! Finished at +5 with the ace. I saved it as a favorite, not sure what that means.

Man was my driver awful tonight. Really just glad to have it over with. Tough golf course...

Nice!!! This is the exact reason why I got a nice little webcam and turn it on whenever I start playing, never know when the magic is gonna strike. Great shot!

Thanks. I'll look into the webcam deal. I did video the playback with my phone so I could send to friends. I think I'll send it to my swing guru (Monte Scheinblum) and get him to critique my avatars swing. Lol!

Just started watching that guy the last few days coincidentally. Im really liking his knowledge and take on the swing, especially when it comes to creating power and speed

Also the YouTube videos are good but his paid videos really bring the concepts together much better imho. Plus they are still affordable. Ironically I have had lessons covering everything with him except driver.

+14 for round 1. Only one water ball and managed a bogie. The hardest thing for me was the pin placements. I should have gone for the center of the green instead of pin high. one rewind on a one inch chip?

4 water balls. 3 on decent shots that hit land and bounced in. Why do they automatically send you back to the tee when you hit land first???? You should have the option to drop or re-tee. Especially when the give you 2 strokes and re-tee.


I liked last year's version which was 6487 yards. PGA west palmer thursday.

Was a tough course with some long tee shots over water but I some how managed to shoot 22 shots less in the second round and I only used the driver 3 or 4 times compared to almost every tee shot in round 1. U doubt that I'll play it again unless I can get my driver sorted out and regain some distance with my longer clubs.

Is there a way to look at my scorecard from the tournaments? I took the maximum on a H2O par 3 and wanted to see what exactly that was......was to disheveled to even pay any attention at the time.

Also, do you guys use the 5% boost? These courses have a little distance on them........I'm not a long hitter but have always done 0% boost.

if you click your name you should see the score card.

I don't boost. I run my gc2 at factory settings which is very similar to where I live. I want to be able to go from my sim to the course and get similar results.

Boost should just be a way to dial in your real life distances.

My driver is set to match Golftown's GC2 which is factory set at sea level.... My irons however are set to match my local conditions at 3500 feet above sea level. An 8 iron will travel about 10 further at 3500 compared to sea level. I want my irons to match what I hit here IRL. When I play in Hawaii or Mexico.... I use an extra club compared to home.

Click your name on leaderboard then tour schedule, then tournament, then your name. That's how I check what you guys shot when I check your rewinds
