Hey everyone. Ordered my Protee a couple months ago, got it in mid April and finally, FINALLY got everything set up over the weekend. I've hit about 120 shots so far and I am so pumped to finally have my own simulator set up.
I am looking for some advice and guidence from more experienced users. My protee is about 10'2" off the ground, so slightly higher then the recommended setting. And I'm just a little over 3 feet from the launch monitor for my hitting area, which I know is supposed to be 3'7".
So a couple things. When I did the calibration, it says place the board in the middle of your play/hitting area. I did that. Half the board was outside the box, even after expanding it to "max". So I moved the calibration board to the back 3rd of my hitting area so it would be more centered to the hitting area box that displays during the calibration process. 2nd, for the two images during calibration, the left image was perfectly centered, the right image showed the calibration board at a significant angle. Is that normal? I have no idea how I would manipulate things so the calibration board is showing dead center/straight to the screen on both images if that is what you're working to do during calibration.
So unfortunately now I have to stand at the very back of my 12x12 base and literally use just the last 8 inches to put my ball down to hit so it's inside the hitting zone.
That actually wouldn't be an issue, the real core issue is the club data and spin numbers don't need to match up at all. I am hitting the ball way straighter then I know I do, lol. My theory is because i'm too close to the launch monitor it's not getting enough time to accurately pick up spin numbers. Thus the low spin readings and straighter then expected shots. Clubhead and ball speeds seem consistent to what I get on a Trackman 4 I've used over the past two winters. But I am wondering if my calibration is messed up too because the club data, specifically face angle, seems way off. It is displaying a value for open face at impact but the videos show consistently, a closed face (specifically a problem i'm going to be working on, not closing the face through impact).
I was thinking I would move my entire set up back 6 inches to a foot, which will be a painstaking process of using a mallet and gently going around the back as disassembling the entire thing and putting it back together just seems way too daunting a task. And if that works to clear up the data issues then I can move it back and remount the protee. But I thought I should reach out and ask other users before I go through all that effort if there is something else I should be trying first. I've attached a couple photos that show a 6.3 open face but on the images attached of the club right before and at impact you can pretty clearly see a closed face.

I changed the handedness from "detect" to Righty just to see if that could have been the issue but alas, no change at all. Any advice or feedback would be so greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
Matt
