I've had my VX for a few days now. The amount of information provided by the unit is eye opening to say the least. I would say I'm not the only one that is seeing ball speeds and clubs speeds a bit lower than that shown on other launch monitors resulting in lower carry distances. I take it you guys are ok with having to adjust the temperature and altitude to levels beyond your location to get results similar to real life? What about TGC 2019?

Well I suppose there is no other option right now. The data on this launch monitor is awsome, so no better choice there. Still, it seems to me club and ball speed is a basic and are not most people finding low numbers compared to other launch monitors, and the resulitng low real life carry distances. This guy is an example (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0i46s9ecyoo). Like him, Protee also uses GC3 to compare with the VX and this guy is finding a two to three percent difference, low, in ball and swing speeds. Not quite what I see but in the ball park. Protee obviously thinks the VX is right, so I'm not sure what to think about that. I've had a lot of confidence in them in the past, so I guess you do also and we need to give them the benefit of the doubt. Until then, temp and alt.

I will say with the latest updates I think the numbers are pretty accurate for the ProTee VX. When I first started using the VX I think I was slower due to inside swing effects. It definitely takes a bit of getting used to- but I think it's accurate, It points out I have a fair amount of inconsistency. Lots to work. Overall I love it!!

FYI, I have experimented with temp /Altitude and I can find no difference in ball flight. I even used some extremes like 90 t,30 humi, and 8000 ft and it did nothing.
When using TGC you can edit the settings file for driver, etc. with a boost. There other apps there as well incase your not using TGC

Not sure if I understand your question but I can tell you IF you edit the tgc file to boost driver say 10% the vx data will be what it is but the game will show you a drive that is 10% more than the vx indicated. I assumed you might just be trying get the TGC to closely approximate you real golf shots??

Yes, trying to get the sim to match real life and Flightscope/Trackman numbers. I see in the TGC 2019 setting file a way to change club distances for Skytak, Flightscope, Uneekor and others but not the VX. Where is that edit file?Last edited by Stonebattle; 01-28-2025, 08:44 PM.

You need to run TGC version 4.3.4. Try this patch: https://download.protee-united.com/patch/434.exe
Reboot the computer. It should then show the VX in the settings file.
