  • Strait or 4 degrees off

Hey so my sensor either reads straight or 4 degrees off either way (never any other #)
. Also it seems to Not make a whole lot of sense when it does it as I feel like I am dead on many of the times. Any tips?

So, I take it we are talking about a Protee setup? Do you have the H cam? Have you performed Protees sensor tests?

Had the same, it is one or more dead sensors!
Check in the interface under [Debug] if they all goes ON if you cover all censors with a mat or whatever you have that is as wide as the sensor mat.
Then check they all turn of if you temp shadow one of the 4 aft reset sensors.

The impact and back sensors you can disable one the Debug/ Show Sensor Page.
The sensors are very cheap to buy.
You can find them in Digikey or Mauser Electronics. Even Amazon sometimes got them but for a lot more.

        EVERLIGHT IR PHOTOTRANSISTOR , PT11-21C/L41/TR8

Not to hard to solder in or find somebody that can do it.

Have you checked that the sensor mat is set up squarely to the intended impact point on the screen? The hcam should be aligned squarely also, much easier to do with the newer interface versions. If the mat is not square then there could be some bias and there are corrections in the settings file to offset some misalignment. Debris on sensors, anything casting shadow? There could be dead sensors but is quite rare.
If you would like anything checking over you can email me jamie@proteeuk.co.uk
