I hope someone has an answer. A golfer came in today and asked if he could use his Garmin computer to see the accuracy of the ProTee system. We began testing with a 7 iron finding the club head speed 20 mph slower than on the Garmin, although the distances were pretty much consistent with the two programs. Next, we tried to move the club head speed up in ProTee while increasing the drag factor of the ball. Although not perfect, we found the measurements to be more aligned.
The curious part of this experiment was we went to a 5 wood where we found the club head speed was only registering 8-12 mph for 10 swings on the ProTee system. We went back to a driver and we were getting readings that were consistent with the Garmin. I have cameras, but they do not work. The shadow of the club from the lights are clear. Should I go to a brighter halogen lamp or is there an LED light that would work? Do I have to adjust for each individual club for club head speed and ball drag? If anyone on this forum can help me figure out what caused this, I'd appreciate it. Thank you.
