    Please help -new install

I think I have everything hooked up correctly, I get the comm port button to go green and it tells me I am ready to swing.... I take a few swings and the shot data seems to be working great..... I then open protee sim, load the driving range.... And then nothing .... It never registers my swing , ball just sits there.... Am I doing something stupid or not doing something????

    Please help?

Do you have it set to TGC instead of Protee? When you open the interface and then hit settings it opens to a new page and on the upper right it says use The Golf Club. To use protee move the slider. Restart the protee interface. Try again to hit the ball. I use comm port 3. Yours may be different.

You also have to set it to Protee in the Protee interface. What sensors? Protee? GC2? If GC2 GSX and Protee need to be set.

OK, that may be it.....I am at work and will have to try it when I get home. I did not know about any of those items.......

Let me restate my issue in case someone else reads this.

1)I bought the system used and everything looks good. It is protee with sensor mat, TGC and ProTee software and the computer it was installed on.
2)I have not plugged in the Camera (I turned it off in settings as well) so that I could install one step at a time.
3)Everything looks great, I get "Ready to Swing", I can look at sensors and all of them activate and timers reset when I swing, etc. Swing data is recorded.
4)When I look ProTee software and choose the driving range, everything looks ready, I get the green box, etc.
5)When I swing, nothing happens, the green box turns to red for about 2 or 3 seconds and then back to green....ball does not move and swing not recorded

So, am I right in assuming my light setup is correct and it has to be something like the suggestions above or could it be something else?

Gene, to test do not run any games. Just open the interface main screen and look at the shot data. After every shot the message "Ready for swing" should change in "Ball Launched".

When it consequently says "Ball launched" then you're good to go. If not check the sensors and light setup. Instructions are here:

Glad to report that the first suggestion was correct. The person who sold me the system had last played TGC so it was setup for that. Any newbie coming by this post should note that you must tell the protee interface what sim software you are going to run.....thanks guys.

I have faced this many times. My son likes to play Protee so he can play junior tees. He never switches it back and I hit the first drive beautifully and it does not register, UGH. Of course the next one is not as good. That's golf. Glad we could help.
