    Short Putts not Registering

Not sure if this is a hardware or software issue..but here goes.

I have everything dialed in pretty good now, but one nagging issue is that when I try to short putt (inside 12 feet), I have a hard time getting the system to register the putt.

    Any ideas?

Still working on this issue. I opened ticket with ProTee and They explained the two different ways to put. (Without the additional putting sensor)

1)You can putt with the "Ball track for putting" turned off which only requires your club head to go back to the middle sensor to register. This also uses the putting speed factor or
    2) you can putt with the "Ball track for putting" turned on which requires your club head to go all the way back to the back 4 sensors to register.

I thought this might actually help me, but it honestly did not. For example, it is impossible for me to make a 10 foot downhill putt at Magnolia...I simply cannot hit it soft enough. I keep increasing my swing until the shot registers and then I am 20 feet past the hole.....very frustrating.

I have the putting audible set to "0" to register a shot. I tried both methods above and do real difference. I do think I could set my putting speed to about .5 and knock the hell out of putts but that is not realistic.

I am going to do more testing this weekend but if anyone can come up with suggestions, please let me know.

Should work fine. You must putt of the tee position. Not in anywhere else. It uses club speed * the putting increase factor set in the settings file. You can even put without a ball on the first method.
Make sure your head does not cover the overhead light.

The best solution is to buy our putting sensors

The shadow over the sensor will definitely cause it not to register. with club speed set I can hit 1 foot tap ins and downhill short putts. I dont have the putting sensor either. I set it to 1.2 for protee software and .9 got tgc. definitely cannot use the other setting without the putting sensor since when it hits the front row of sensors on short putts it will go sideways which I'm sure you have discovered.

Wow Bnorman58, I would love to get to the point that you are at(hitting tap ins). Just to make sure I understand completely, can you please tell me what settings you are using and what method of putting?

          Thanks

I also would appreciate the same information, I also have been dealing with the putting issue for a while now. To avoid putting I would turn on all gimmies in settings.

I use it with the ball track off and no 1000+ putting sensor, can't afford it. Tgc has a bug right now where gimmes do not work if playing more than 1 person. When my son and I play we have to have gimmes turned off. We have sunk many a one foot putt. It is a must for your shadow not to even be over the back sensors. Other than that, I don't know what to tell you.

Meant to say not even the back sensors. This happens more on short putts it seems. I have tgc set at .9 and protee 2.0 set at 1.2. I have been even short on downhill 7 footers ( gimmes turned on when I play by myself). Augusta can have some very slick putts and some designers can have it set nearly impossible with pin settings. So that I understand, if you play a well designed course like Craig's protee versions nod you have a 7 foot putt with speed set to .9 and just tap it it goes way by?

Bnorman58, how about your audio settings....can you check and see what they are set for putting and also, what is the minimm speed for a putt? Maybe you have the right combination of settings......maybe wiishful thinking but I am desperate

Ok here are all putting settings I see. Use ball track for putting off. Min putter speed to launch ball 0. Putting speed factor .9. Audio sensibity putter 1 do. Use audio analysis on fight side on.

How does the bug happen? Is it only with Protee sensors? I play with gimmies on with guest all the time. I'm curious.

They were the ones that told me there is, not sure if it's only protee but I posted on it a while back and bubba22 and protee said it was a bug. We would be playing and noticed it would add a stroke every now and then. We made sure to pay attention to every stroke to make sure we weren't mistaken. It almost was every hole and one or the other, no rhyme or reason.

I don't know how to post a link to it but it is titled "scores wrong" in the golf club thread. I also opened a ticket with protee and they said it was a known issue.
