  • Almost Golf Ball settings

Any suggestions on making changes to the interface so I can use almost golf balls? It looks like the yardage is ~20% lower on the sim.

The ProTee Interface -> settings has a slider for that. Its called practiceball speed increase factor. Try setting it to 1.20.

If I make a change to the interface while TGC is still running do I have to restart TGC or the interface or will the change happen right away. Currently I place the interface on a 2nd screen while I project TGC.

No need to restart TGC. If you save the settings in the interface it should become active. With some settings you will need to restart the interface, but just the interface. Not TGC... You can run both side by side.

We can play full rounds with almost golf balls? Driver and everything? Anytime i tried to use a driver with almost golf balls I could never get proper distances (I assume even with a 1.2 modifier) - using skytrak

The reason that you struggled getting good distances with the driver is because unfortunately a single coefficient of 1.2 isn't sufficient to make Almost Golf balls distance reasonably accurate for all clubs. From my experience, distances under 110m are close enough to a coefficient of 1.0, for a 150m shot you'd want a coefficient of approximately 1.1, 180m 1.15 etc. You can see that basically, the longer the shot distance, the more unrepresentative an Almost Golf ball becomes. What you would actually require is a coefficient that is a function of one of the variables, most probably the best being ball speed. The math would be simple following some empirical testing, however I'm assuming that all the code within the ProTee interface is locked down, as in it isn't editable.

This is a question for ProTee or perhaps an owner of the ProTee software. If you were able to edit the code within the program, I would purchase it tomorrow.
