Gc2 on protee software

I know this has been asked as i have read the threads but thought i would ask again now as i am about to pull the trigger.
I have a gc2 and a net and have bought a laptop for the protee 2.0 and tgc software.
My laptop is a dell inspiron r15 with i7 4500u cpu, 8 gb ram i have put an 850 eco with 250gb in and have a dedicated 2gb amd 8850m gpu so spec wise i shold be ok (windows 8.1).
I have emailed twice without reply for a trial before i buy to be sure it all runs, if i pull the trigger and buy at 2 grand do i have a time frame to get a refund it it does not work? Assuming i dont get a trial i cant just pull the trigger and lose money on the software.
I did read that gc2 was not being supported is this true or is it still being supported? Sorry about the questions i just want to be sure for my golf sim thanks

Go the the site above and compare your card to what is known to work. The 670 gtx card works but on low settings. It is the lowest ranking card I have heard of that works and it only works if you set the graphics on the lower end of what the game is capable of producing. If your card ranks higher then you should be OK but I am no expert.

I run TGC on a laptop that has a GTX460M and at Medium and with a reasonable draw distance (no idea what they are, set and forget) its fine. Framerate will drop a little on scenes with tons of trees, but is generally just fine and completely playable.

16gb hyper fury x dd3 ram 1866 mhz, overkill but why not plus 2 sticks of 8 incase 1 fails
4GB Asus GTX 980 STRIX Direct CU II OC
Samsung 850 evo 250 gb ssd
Corsair rm 650 psu

Wanted to run on a laptop but reasearch has told me to go with a gaming rig ns in for a penny in for a pound eh, the laptop will be returned.
I need to wait for the parts then build the system before i buy the protee 2.0 software, i have my gc2 waiting here to be used lol

Good decision Fitness. You made the right choice. You'd regret the laptop if you had plans to do a full sim with projector.
