  • Launch Angle vs Dynamic Loft

I recently had a session on a trackman and I noticed that my Launch angle was several degrees lower, then on my Protee. On my ProTee a good solid hit, with a six iron, yields about 20 degrees whereas on the trackman I was more in the 17 degree range. Any thoughts on how I correct this? Does it have to do with my vertical camera? I.e. Being tilted down too much?

The launch angle picked up by the ProTee camera can not be adjusted. You can see the ball flight and the actual angle it captures in the preview window. In the preview window you also see a horizontal line which must be leveled with the floor. When its not leveled, the angle will be off.

Its either the ProTee camera thats tilted, or the Trackman has not been calibrated correctly. Unfortunately the Trackman does not show any images to verify the angle.

Thanks for the quick response, I will check to see if the camera is level to the floor. One other item, is height of the ball, I know it shows up in the graphic on the shot screen, but is there anyway this number can be added to the data?

Camera was VERY level might even be angled down slightly, like a degree say. Btw, for anyone who is interested the Protee, when set up correctly, provides EXTREMELY accurate data!
