  • Ball Drag options. Protee and TGC

I understand that dialing in distances requires adjusting Ball drag. If I understand correctly, you need to adjust it in both Protee and TGC. When looking at the drag adjustments there are 2 areas to make adjustments. One is in Ball adjustments, the other is in maintaining players (Beta if that matters) where you can adjust it for each player. How do I choose where to adjust? Does it make a difference???

I read this thread. http://golfsimulatorforum.com/forum/...-vs-protee-2-0 , But it does not address this.

BTW. What other settings require you to set up both in protee and TGC. All of them?? Is there a way to print all the settings so that you can compare them. Is it just the interface screens or do you have to reset the ALT-E settings for both??

We recommend only to change the ball drag factor in the SETTINGS-->BALL ADJUSTMENTS screen. Less drag is more yardage. The user based settings do not work correctly yet (BETA).
A drag setting like 0.9 would give a 10% increase (relative). No need to change anything in TGC or ProTee game systems.

Thank you. I had tried the Beta versions with no luck. This will help tremendously. Any idea on when a more comprehensive Manual will be available?

Most of it is documented here: http://csc.protee-united.com

The settings file available with ALT-E is documented. There is also a user manual that comes with the ProTee Golf software.
Fully agree that the available documentation is far from complete and might need some updating here and there, but at least we have something
