Errant reading on low shots

Yesterday I played 9 holes with my usual foursome and was trying to show off my new simulator. However, the 2 big hitters were having misreads with their low drives. One of them routinely hits 290 yards bullets outside. Probably only a 6* launch angle. I tend to hit a high ball so this does not usually happen to me. Their drives would be a launch angle of 7* at 108 mph and nosedive into the ground at 80 yards roll-out to 150. What I did not notice was if they had a short bounce like the on that I got today. I hit a pretty good 3 iron that was a little thin and it launched at 7*. Notice that it has a carry distance of 2 feet 4 inches and a 58 foot bounce. Unfortunately I did not get screenshots of their drives but it happened 10-15 times.

I am guessing that something is off but I do not know what to look for. If this only happened once, no big deal.

With a 7 degree launch angle it should've gotten up in the air a bit and carried much further. Only thing I could guess is it was an uphill lie and you hit it into the slope. That's the only reason that shot wouldn't have carried very far with that data. In your second screenshot I can see your Vcam is inactive. The top box on the left shouldn't be black. You need to try hitting the preview button and see if you get a live feed from that camera appearing in that window.

I understand what you mean about maybe hitting the slope for my shot. That could explain mine. My second pic is after the round just to show my camera settings. It was on during the round. That is how I got a 7* reading.
Any idea how a tee shot could dive into the ground?. The other thing is that they have a big out to in swing path. Any thoughts?

Strange? Was it a big hook? Post screens of the driver shot if it happens again.

Bubba22, They were a bit of a hook but not that big. But, I checked my vcam and someone must have banged it. The tee box was not even present on the screen. It was moved about a foot before the ball position. It could have even been off vertically.

It just goes to show you that you have to double check your equipment. A learning experience. I will check all cameras and their alignment daily. During the round, I did look to see if the ball was being "captured" of there was a calculated ball flight. Every time I checked it was captured.

If it happens again, I will capture all the data and post the results.
