  • Need a final answer.......

OK, I'm confused as I have read different answers in the forum to what should be a simple question.

Assuming you have not tweaked any of your clubs individually, when playing ProTee or TGC, does it matter if you select your club and does it matter if you select the type of shot (flop, punch, etc)???

I was led to believe that all shot calculations are taken from your actual swing and the sensor results.

    Well?

If you are using Skytrak or GC2, you don't need to select club except when putting for off the green. It changes nothing unless you're putting fro off the green. If you're using floor sensors, you do need to select club.

I've often tried putting from the fringe and it comes up way short. Afterwards I always can't remember if it was set to chip or putter. Do you know if it is the same thing if you wanted to chip from the green? Do you need to switch away from putter? I'm using a GC2.

If you are chipping from the green you need to select a club other than putter. Putter is the only club that has things changed. This is due to spin. If you chip with putter selected, it won't stop well.

Put it this way. Only putt when putter is selected and don't putt unless putter is selected.

Shot selection doesn't matter. Club selection only matters with the putter. Mthunt is right. When the putter is selected....putt.
