Occassionaly when I'm hitting my 54 degree wedge I see a jump in ball speed. Normally on a full shot my ball speed would be 95 mph, but about 1 in 3 shots I see the ball speed register in the 120 to 130 mph range, with the launch angle still being correct. Any thoughts on why this might be and how to correct it?

Wedges - jump in ball speed

a weakness of the protee system is the high lofted shot, bc the club sometimes passes the ball track before the ball and that results in crazy ball speeds. there are settings to fix that for pitching and chipping but I don't know how to fix it on full shots.

yes I agree on this been trying to fine tune this but it is frustrating as I can take 5 shots exactly the same and go from 30 yards to 70 yards when the lie is 50 yards to pin, I know my shot at this distance IRL I know my swing and ball contact are spot on and I get these lies its not every hole this happens though.

I will try that but my full shots are the same full swing lob wedge goes 135 yards that's a head scratcher for me but that happens to me also. if that what you mean. I know my IRL game really well and in a perfect world would love the sim and the IRL to be within margins of each other, I will get it figured out eventually its a lot of tweaking in the interface and asking others what they are doing in the interface and comparing data.Last edited by aeroburner; 10-24-2016, 04:46 PM.

So this issue still persist, albeit not very often, so far I've seen jumps in my 54, 7 iron and 5 wood speeds occur, where they go from normal of about 90, 122, 143ish to 124, 154 and 165 respectively. Happens about 1 in 20 shots or so. Would be nice to have 154 ball speed on a 7 iron IRL though, lol.

I don't understand your suggestion. Who should go and look at them together? Myself and Protee?Last edited by Cklguy2013; 10-26-2016, 12:29 PM.

I meant that you could look at the all the shots together. If you have Shot Recording turned on, you can record all of the data for every shot. Hit 20-30 7 irons and when you have a misread.... you can check the data to see if there is some info that you can pass on to ProTee. You can use the search button in recorded shots to just show 7 irons. I have a GSA system which is very close to ProTees. I too have the odd shot that carries too far. I would say about 1 in 100 will do this. Not so much with the wedges but sometimes with 8-6 iron. Adding 25 yards to a 7 iron can really mess you up during a game. Shot recording is a great tool. I use it when I make small changes to the swing. It is awesome to have that data.
