This may be a big ask, but what is the likelihood of some sort of accurate club tracking add on to come? Is the skypro integration going to be the only thing we'll get and if so, how accurate is that for face angles, etc? Perhaps SkyTrak_Seth can give some sort of hope?
Likelihood of club tracking to come beside skypro?

I still think that the Protee base is one of the nest affordable options for club data. Unlikely there will be an integration but who knows.

From a non software coding guy, it seems quite simple. TGC already works with protee and ST. Just transfer the base data and use ST readings for ball flight. I think they already have some toggle in TGC for GC2 users or maybe it's in the SDK for it. I'm sure i make sound simpler than it really is. Plus, no stepping on either companies toes, just gives users options to get both for a decent price of ball and club data.

No, it only seems logical that the easiest would be skypro since they are company related. The only question, when will that day come. I don't think we're going to see any true hmt type device with ST, but that's only my opinion.

After we release v2.6, the next release will be devoted to SkyPro and "something else". Keep the hope alive

Don't completely writeoff the Skypro. I have one, it works pretty well to give you a 3d image of what your club is doing. It's not able to pickup body movement, obviously, but it has some real value in helping you correct some macro swing problems. Integrated with Skytrak, it will help to offer an alternative to cameras and software in the practice range.

Can the sky pro tell you club face at impact and club path? The checkpoints seem to be half way back and all the way back but not at impact for some reason

No, I recall them saying impact numbers weren't accurate so they didn't report them. I suspect the torques at impact throw the measurements off.
That said, you can zoom in to the top-down 3D swing view in SkyPro and see a closeup of the club head approaching and going thru impact. It's pretty easy to get a good idea of what the face and path are doing that way.
My predictions for the "something else":
1. Full SkyTrak/SkyPro integration, along with impact face and path numbers
2. or... an integrated camera add-on that takes video of your swing and trims it automatically.
3. Unlikely but would be my first choice: a club head measuring pad / mat, or additional camera system dedicated to club head, so we don't have to fiddle with that darned SP mounting process.Last edited by GungHoGolf; 03-04-2017, 05:20 PM.

If Skytrack would get rid of the ridiculous shot delay time, fix the over exaggerated side spin numbers, integrate club face/path data, make the putting more accurate.. and stay under $4,000, they would be at the top of my list and there would be no need to waste 4-5 times as much money on a GCoverpricedHMT/Quad. They would dominate the market.
Think.. slightly cheaper ES16 that is accurate and actually works correctly.. Doesn't seem like too much to ask!
Until then, everything else is a major compromise in one way or another unless you want to spend a fortune. ES16 is getting close.. just not there yet.. and the price keeps creeping up more and more since the initial release.Last edited by RyanP; 03-04-2017, 05:44 PM.

There are cameras in the Skytrak that can see the club if I am not mistaken. There could be, in my mind, a way to track the club if the field of view is large enough, but it would require clever programming.
I think it could be done if it can see the club for long enough. I feel like one could estimate a lot of things, perhaps quite accurately, just with where the club finishes through the ball.
