    Alignment help

With the latest update the alignment mode is gone so I wanted to know the best way to align my unit.

The guidance from ST, if I am correctly interpreting the various messages on this topic scattered throughout different threads, seems to be to align with the ST case.

I use a ruler and align it to my hitting mat, which is what I align my body to.

I really liked he alignment lasers.

Per Seth, they will be back with the next update. Update is supposed to be out shortly because it's only a clean up. (All that's per Seth)

This sucks....we all know the alignment dots were never square with the case.

I can't wait for the alignment dots to get back. I have a large (5'X5') mat, and with the SkyTrak off the mat, I am hitting into the extreme right hand side of my net, unless I angle the SkyTrak to the left. Makes it a pain in the butt figuring out my alignment, but with the laser dots, I just turn them on and place a laser level behind be going across the dots, which makes it easier to figure out my stance.

The alignment dots weren't square to placing a laser line over them.
The only I get straight is set a laser line up and hit at it whilst I adjust the ST or laser line until I show a straight hit.
                It's quite tedious

Mine are/were dead nutts straight on.

Line up the dots with the laser, laser with the center line of the skytrak grid and everything was perfect. No putting issues with TGC.

Please bring the dots back !!!!!

Just a thought, but statistically speaking there will be a few people for whom the alignment mode was "dead on" but it doesn't seem like a good idea reputationally to promote the feature for the other 98-99% for whom it is slightly out. Loads of them probably aren't members of this forum, and as such haven't seen Seth's advice that you should just use the case instead. If the feature is there, people would be entitled to expect it to work/be accurate... For me, it's visually out by a good 3-4 deg, so I've only tried it the once. I'm much better off just using an alignment stick with the armour case and eyeballing it...

So if your aligning the case, or dots, are you aligning it to the reticle on the screen for that shot or something else

No need to align every shot, so I might be missing the point a little here. I align about 1yd offset, that moves the reticule slightly right and aligns it perfectly with my mat. You either align square to the screen so no offset, or you align square to the screen with offset if you need it? I can align it center, but my OCD prefers if the mat is dead center from the couch that the Mrs has decreed is to be stored behind me as I hit. ...I'm thinking about trading her for one of those epic drivers...

Hey guys, sorry to be MIA...we've been fighting a major build issue with Unity for this v2.6.2 release. Finally got it nailed down yesterday and got it re-submitted to Apple. Will release this as soon as it is approved.
