  • WGT or TGC

Just curious what the biggest difference is in the two and which is better....Ordering SkyTrak! Thanks

You will need the Game Improvement Package (GIP) anyway in order to play simulation software. This includes a limited version of WGT. Give it a try !

Hope to see you on the tour soon!

There is a pretty big difference between the two. I don't think you will find too many people on here recommend WGT. But TGC will cost you more money.

I think WGT has the best graphics - they are real pictures. However, you can only play solo and no tour. Also, only plays on Ipad.

The biggest selling point for me was the fact that TGC was the only sim you could actually BUY! (You can buy e6 Trugolf now) I thought that paying $250 - 300 a year was pretty steep for something that I plan on using for a long, long time. I initially was interested in Trugolf because it is made by the same people that made Links LS which is my favorite computer golf sim of all time, but at the time I was looking, it was $300/year and add on course packs are $400. ( you can now purchase it, but it is $1800 and course packs are still $400!) So it came down to Jack Nicklaus and TGC. I went with TGC simply because you could purchase it, and the amount of courses available.

Although TGC does need some improvements, like being able to choose tee boxes and different game modes, (I'm hoping those will be resolved in the next version), I am really happy with my choice and have enjoyed playing TGC a lot!
