Most of the Chrome Soft Truvis that I have seen for
The 2016 and 2017 ChromeSoft are the exact same ball. No changes at all between those 2 years.

I have been having issues with my SkyTrak reading for a bit...I think it was due to one of the software updates, since it was fine and just started (to be honest, didn't use it much during the normal golf season).

I was getting a lot of no reads using white ProV.

Decided to draw lines around the ProV to see if that helped and it did. Still had a few no reads, especially on shortly shots.

I had a sleeve of the Truvis red/white balls which I didn't like on the course.

Starting using those and have had very few no reads.

My hitting area is in my garage with my white car parked where the camera can pick it up. Thinking the colors on the Truvis ball help the software "see" the ball.

Might be my imagination, but it seems 95% reads with the Truvis ball.

wonder if it would help to put black lines on the white ball that crisscross forming kind of the spokes of a wheel look then color in a black dot in ONE of the pie sections. This might make the camera see the pronounced movement of the dot across the diff photos. Its what I am gonna try when mine arrives.

I've been wondering about this... if there was a preferred method for marking balls to help the SkyTrak out a bit. Let us know how your experiment goes, kmac

I am open anything. I would happily draw dancing hippos on my balls if it helped the skytrak out. Golfballs that is.

I have no idea why some people have so much trouble with misread. I can play with any ball, plain white or red/white Truvis, and I don't even bother to line up the label, and I can hit ball for more than 1 hr and may get 1 or 2 misreads, if that. The only ball that has caused trouble is the black/yellow Truvis.

I havent got the unit yet just thinking of a way to help it read the ball for better spin readings.

I wouldn’t put any marks on the ball and then hit it into a white impact screen pretty sure it’s going to rub off
