I'm waiting to pull the trigger on a Fiberbuilt hitting strip as an add on to my CCE type mat as the CCE is killing my elbows and wrists. I'm looking for feedback from anyone who has experience of putting on Fiberbuilt. I don't want to cut any holes in my mat to accommodate the Fiberbuilt nor do I want to move the SkyTrak between swings/putting. If putting does not work on the Fiberbuilt, I will investigate other options. Any feedback would be appreciated.

Fibrebuilt mat is unbelievable for ease on the wrist and hands. Can hit 1000's of shots without worrying about hurting yourself.Originally posted by petrocheI'm waiting to pull the trigger on a Fiberbuilt hitting strip as an add on to my CCE type mat as the CCE is killing my elbows and wrists. But it sucks for putting. I built myself a trolley that moves ahead 5' to a separate putting mat. Now with a insert maybe you could get by with a homemade camera slide.
If that's not something you want to do, I would suggest buying or making your own divot action insert which can be putted off of.

Thanks Shifty and aja. As it looks like putting is out for the Fiberbuilt and I definitely do not want to cut my existing mat, I may look at placing a piece of very thin turf mat that I have (!/8" thick) over the Fiberbuilt for putting, I will try that tonight with the existing mat to see if it effects my putting. Another thing I'm thinking about is to build a trolley system for the SkyTrak that would travel perpendicular to the set up that Shifty has shown above. That way I could move the SkyTrak back (Away from me) for swinging off the Fiberbuilt and towards me to putt off my existing mat. There would be some height considerations to think about with that type of trolley system though.
